VMware

You all mean that WoW can't run a bunch of VGA driver tests to determine if the client is running inside a VM ? They already run video tests and CPU tests on your system to "recommend" GFX settings for you, so don't think they will not run the same tests and report back to Blizzard if WoW is running on a Virtual Machine. Imagine how it would look when they determine that a Windows user is running WoW inside a Windows VM for no apparent reason.

VMs are a blessing and so is VMware.. I'm running many wow sessions on a quad-core, 12 gig rig, each with its own (virtual) characteristics.
Works like a charm.

Clever Blizz to find out that any one those accounts are linked in any way.

+1. Different VM`s - different OpenVрn subnet`s. Lower chance to ban whole farm.

if you clone vmware you get os with same id (CPUID, HDD ID, MACID ...) wrong way...

Hmm...I checked macids they are different. Haven't verified the others. Will look into this asap. I thought all of this got assigned unique ids during the replication process in workstation 9. Thanks for the heads up!

No, I don't think any one can deny that blizzard doesn't know the presence of a VM.

There can be many reasons why one would run with VM that are legit though.

Blizzard allow run WoW under any virtual mashine. Iam read blue post about this.

There is no point in using a VM, I understand the reasons why you would want that but it's a complete waste of resources I tried doing that, and it was pretty much 1 and half bots per core with FX-8150 at 4 GHz, crashes freezes and low performance at all are just the everyday issues. It's too much of a pain in the as*.. where I need like just 1/2-1/3 of these resources to run the same amount normally.

Well, you won't see many benefits of VMware using an AMD core, its truly an Intel application, and 16 - 32gb of memory 20+ vm's will not hurt anything. Advantages of a VM allows multiple wow accounts up and multiple Virtual Network services, granted your Virtual Network provider allows multiple simultaneous sessions.

Besides thousands of hosting companies use applications like vmware to sell off "shared" hosting on a single server. You just need to know how to operate the program at its maximum potential and its far from a resource hog.

I want to play BF3 while botting. HB and WoW don't like to be minimised while botting, so VMware is the only choice. Unless I'm told otherwise.

How could one make copys of a VM and make them all have different HWID's from each other ?

well i am thinking the best method to install some vms too but what bothers me is that if i just clone the first one i make it will have the same pc-name same windows username and stuff. Things that blizz can see so in short words whats the optimum way ?

They don't need to run those tests its easily detectable you're running it from a VM with a few lines of code.

Further in there are plenty of people that virtualize their OS to play wow from it.

I just downloaded VMware and I am starting to get it setup. I believe I have to make a new virtual machine for every WoW, and a fresh install of every wow client on each machine for 1 bot.. is this correct? Do I need to do anything inside VMware to optimize it or make it anon. I am new to this so I am kinda clueless. What do I have to do to make sure it has an original hareware id, and a different ip (do I need something else for ips?) Any help is appreciated!

VMware is a company, you downloaded a whole company holy shit bro. Reminds me of when I installed Microsoft ... Good times
