i have one final thing that i can?t figure out, it uses a lot of memory, so i thought i would follow the rest of the guide. problem below the guide.

Important part here.
9a) Navigate to the folder wher your VMware Guest is stored and find .vmx file and open it in editor.
Add these lines somewhere in file:

mainMem.useNamedFile=FALSE
MemTrimRate=0
prefvmx.minVmMemPct = "100"
prefvmx.useRecommendedLockedMemSize = "TRUE"
sched.mem.pshare.enable = "FALSE"

If you're curious:

We disable swap file so it doesnt host any virtual memory on disk and keeps all in ram.
Some pefrofmance boost for memory allocation
We allocate 100% RAM on VMware Host
And we disallow using duplicates memory pages among different machines, +++ to performance.


I can?t seem to find the .vmx on my host computer the only file i can find is the one called .vmxf but it dosen?t look rigt to me if it is there i have to add the code.
 
ok the file is hidden by default, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab and check "Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives"
 
hmm, i can only find Windows 7lite.vmxf on my host computer, i did a search, what is the name for the whole file?
 
if you copy/paste it might throw an error opening the virtual machine about a line being called previously, just remove the line you put in which is the duplicate and you will be all set

NOTE: i found that the virtual machine should be set up like this to run perfectly *he didnt specify in the guide you are following*
1 processor 2 cores
2gb ram
enable the paging file and set between 1024-4098mb *you receive a warning this is ok*
the rest of the post besides the mlink crap is good
 
so the file Is called Windows7lite.vmxf ? will change the processor and core now, i set it for 4
 
go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab and uncheck "Hide extension for known file types"
the computer knows what it is so it doesnt show you the .vmx
 
BTW i will warn you now, that profile Full Questing - All Acts - Complete - Tested needs to be babysat at all time if your not uber geared all the time. there is an issue with repairing items after death and it just sits at stash. it you die it runs the same path it did when it hit that zone so watch the bot and make sure you unstick it when it happens and repair the gear to send it back off. I prefer to disable auto equipt plugin and disable all loot pickup besides gold and let the bot go.
 
okay, but i did what you said, what about the folders in the pic, still can?t find the file.vmx to put in the code!

okay, are you using another profile and wich one? Im okay geared, good enough for no mp at least.
 
omg, im such a tool, didn?t even see the top file was called vmx...... :-O

i did it all now. unless the pageing file, couldn?t find that
 
google and you are my friends, did the last thing now. thanks again for helping me. :-D now i will go have a beer and see some simpsons, im to tired for anymore of this..but thanks.
 
the beer is gone now:o and think i will try tomorrow to find a good run profile for my bot, maybe champion act 3, just tested and everything seems to run perfect.

Now i have yet a problem, my guest seems to lack memory, it uses 1,48gb og avalible 2gb, and my host have 4gb total, and when guest is running it says i am using 3.80gb Thats a lot :-( + the guest stops because of low memory even though it isen?t using all 2gb of memory avalible.? howcome, and what to do?
