Today I tried to run d3 on vmware, but it just ate my CPU. And its i7 3770k + 16 gb ram. Is there any way to run few copies of d3 on vmware? It needs to be vmware - cause in the same time I want to play some other games that aren't working with diablo, when on fullscreen. If I run them, it pops prompt in d3, about D3D something. If I run d3's on vmware the prompt isn't showing up, all is working as intended, but everything lags so hard... any advices?

My advise is to not run vmware if you wanna bot diablo 3 and play games on the same pc.

It's not an option. Games I play require fullscreen, and it just don't work well with d3. D3D error pops up. When I had vmware running, such a problem didn't exist. So yeah, I need the VMware. :-( I just need to make it run smoothly...

I know it's easily done but have you checked how much RAM you've assigned to your virtual? It will quite often only dedicate 2GB to it which, if it's running Win7, it's not a lot! I have 32GB of RAM and by default it will be far too low!

Sure you've done it but just check :)

At start I've assigned 8 gb. It was an overkill. Later I tried with 2 and 3, but didn't seen any change at all.
