I upgraded to VMware v12, cloned some VMs, reinstalled Vmware tools but from time to time 1 (or even more) VMs just lag a bit and then disconnect.

My VPN Provider has no idea and the Internet connection on my host is 100% fine.

WLAN Adapater is up to date, VMware and tools is up to date.
Network = Bridged

First i thought it might happen because CPU is at high load.
But it also happened with lower load.

actually i use IKEv2 for connection and the own client from my vpn provider.

Where would you start troubleshooting? Maybe try other vpn clients, or another connection?

well, at least i found the reason:

Either my arris modem or my VPN Provider got a 3600 seconds refresh time.

So each hour i get disconnected, but i haven't found a solution yet. keywords "ipsec lifetime" "vpn passthrough"

happens with every vpn client...
if i don't use VPN the connection is fine

ok, i tested another VPN provider. Also disconnected after 3600 seconds...

so its related to ISP, Hardware or VMWorkstation.... damn....

Shit, I just made a thread in the wrong subsection on exactly the same issue. I will be keeping an eye on this thread because I have tried a lot of shit and nothing works. Dbuddy, playing without EB I dont lose internet, so I really thought it was CPU usage that forced a turnoff, but right now I am not sure.

Hardware allocated to VM (Workstation 12 Pro):
Memory: 2GB
Processors: 2. 4 cores
Disk: 60GB
OS: Windows 10
