Would be interesting to know what the script was trying to do that F-Secure found so offensive?

F secure is not exactly top of the line ...imho

To be fair, he just linked F secure description of trojan. I don't think Fsecure had the false positive

It appears to be an issue with MicrosoftEdge. Which is not suprising :P

Oh... Bugger.

I just thought that, since it has just been awarded a 5th "Best Protection Award" by the "AV-TEST Institute", plus the fact that it's won virtually every other category, it would have been adequate. It's sad to learn that, despite the industry leaders themselves thinking it's the best, F-Secure isn't "Top of the line"

Time to look else where then I guess :-(

It is possible that, with Edge, (and to a lesser degree IE) that the script was carried forward from else where. Well, that's what I've been reading. I don't know if that's what happened or not as the only place I'd been before visiting the forum was the Edge's own Start Page.

I posted as a simple heads up to those above.

As for F-Secure, my earlier sarcasm (above) aside, I've found that when combined with Smooth Wall on a separate machine for stateful packet filtering in real time, and Malwarebytes as a 2nd line, it's been more than adequate.
