If that still is of some interest here is what i figured out. You need to set HardwareClass "1" in your D3Prefs.txt (Documents\Diablo III or something like that). That does start the game for me, but i got massive graphic bugs ingame and can't bot that way. If anyone got a better way or some improved settings to get Diablo 3 working on VirtualBox please comment.

i have a problem in virtualbox - got diablo running and shows up in my processes but it doesnt show up in my task bar and I can't see the program window. its as if it never even runs but it stills shows in my processes.

please, if anyone could give any insight on this.

Same issue I'm having. I beefed up the VirtualBox VM with 3/8 GB of RAM, 3/6 Cores, and enabled 2d and 3d acceleration yet the game never comes up or errors out. It just sits in processes.
