As most of us who still use windows 7 as an OS, we have been unable to use DB for a while now, and as frustrating as it has been, i've found somewhat a solution.

Most of us have high powered pc's which can run most games. In which having done something similar in the past have ran pc's inside pc's per say with linux before.

And i know its not the best solutions to the windows 7 issue until the team sort it out, but it saves people doing a full fresh install and loosing setups and whatnot.

So my solution:
Windows 10 in vmwares workstation player.

Now don't freak out its the free version and is easy to setup. Heres the link:

https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/14_0

You will also need a copy of windows 10. Your choice as to version you use, and source

So on the inside of vmware i have a fully updated windows 10 enterprise(most windows 10 copies should work) , with the settings set not turn off in the power settings so it always stays up. (if it falls asleeps or hibernates vmware i think closes after a while if no input is detected after a while).

Running with battle.net and D3. set to 32 bit so can run DB of course, with most of the settings turned down.

DB wise im running the latest beta (1.1752.0) with phelons updated trinity. Most of the settings tweaked like looting and avoidances (so set to whatever class your using) . Only around level 60 at the moment so don't ask what GRifts it will do. Still having the standard DB issues like path finding getting lost and using the wrong portal. I have ticks per set to off and its only running max up to 20 but i don't expect it do much

Hopefully this helps someone until the main DB issues are fixed. i know how good this product was and i still have faith in the team.

Now this has worked for me, and may work some else.

If there is any interest i can post specs to what the machine is running.

( have a 200gb portion of one of my hdd sets for it)
