Virtual Machine Set up and use

maybe can fix it like that.. but max voltage = overclocking = more heat = faster dead GPU which is bad :D

mm specs of your main and vms?

version of vmware too

also i have tried "setting" a voltage to my old card, doesnt work... nividia cards just will randomly spike no matter what so even then setting max voltage if the card loses even slightess voltage it will blackscreen ur vms.

Pc Spec : on the motherboard is wrong I use Sabertooth X79

got water cooling and lot of fan so I think I can handle some OC
The vm spec:

Memory 2500 MB
1 Proc and 2 core ( Maybe I should use 1 core ?)
15 GB HDD (using SSD)

Is the problem only my NVIDIA card?

Cause right now some vm crashed(Black Unrespond) sometime they are black and still working if I click window.
when the first problem happen other vm are working just one or 2 crashed

yea newest driver, do you think I should switch to something else like virtual box? HyperV? Window server . Cause cannot fix that problem with ym NVIDIA tried everything

If I change my graphic card which one should I buy? do you think the new NVIDIA card like 980 are better or just change company

ya... i dont use nvidia cards after my first problem with vms... i just use radeons :D

also any program will have that problem...

I made a really bad choice paid 600$ for that card damn, I think i'll buy a new one which card should be good with my pc spec?

dont get me wrong if u wasnt messing with VMs, that card would be pretty dam good... just nvidia cards arent good for VMs D: I would have to look through some cards... give me some time

i myself use

gigabyte msi 7870 triple fan

i love it.

but for bang for your buck.

MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

or overkill with

SI R9 290X LIGHTNING 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

just if i had the money i would buy the overkill LOL but money is hard so more bang for your buck with the 270

nixon before trying anything.. i really suggest you get VMware-workstation-full-7.1.3-324285, i run mine with 1gb ram and 1cpu. With a dumb down version win 7 :P

works fine :D also for other people and you this helps too no matter what version

edit>preferences>memory> fit all virtual machine memory into the reserved host RAM. then sit it just a tad more than what all your machines would need to un.

example. i have 5 VMs, 2 using 1gb and 3 using 2gb so thats 6+2 = 8, i set my reserved memory to 8.5. nixon is the entire vmware freezing or just a black screen?

if black screen might be drivers/GPU.. i had that problem, i had to buy me a new GPU and works fine now

would I have to re-install or remake all of my vmware's ? like OS and setups ?

how many vm can I run if I take the overkill one? and do you think my CPu can handle it?

ya you will have to reinstall all your vms

your cpu is the 6core, 12HT

if you set it up correctly and dont want to use your computer while botting. 12bots 1 vm for every HT (make sure you enable virtualization in bios)

how to set the HT I want to use on vm? it's automatic? when I create I use 1 Proc and 2 core each or 1 Proc and 1 core each

First in BIOs you need to enable hyper threading and virtualization. II haven't saved enough money for Intel build I'm all AMD right now. But if it works how I have read. Once you enable those in your BIOs, on VMware on the virtualization is automatic. So it will use your virtual cores/HT. Then I would try just 1 core and have a fps limiter and have it set to like 10-20 find a sweet spot :D and try to use as minimal ram and 1 cpu . then just clone :D or use that connected clone to save room on SSD.

For info reasons. Intel has real cores and virtual cores call hyper threading. And most of the time iit doubles the actually cores. Example your CPU 6 actually cores and when you enable hyper threading you will have 12 cores. 6 actually and 6 virtual. Which will boost perforamce and timing.

Also unless you have a server board you will always have 1 processors the only thing that changes are cores.

well if i can make some extra income with poe i'll donate some to people that helped me ahaha

I'm currently rebuilding my base build with gamemaste789's suggestions :)
Very much enjoying the 3GB Windows 7 OS installs.

Next is to put in a fps limiter. Any suggestions? Otherwise I will try setting it at the Virtual display adapter.

Sounds good :D. Looking forward to free gas for my truck :D Lol

Mind:
Yep 3gb GG but fps limiter I suggest "afterburner"
