Did you try what I suggested with garbage collector? (gc)

didn't work.

i have some major issues since a few days.
the VM upgrade, Bot Upgrade, AIF, VPN, latency.
something totally fucked up my botting schedule. severeal crashes every single hour.

I guess i have to start from zero... *sigh* fresh VM with win7, fresh PoE, VPN install, Bot, Plugins,...
damn... thats lot of work....

i am not sure if i should try VM12 again... i had the best time with VM 7.x

maybe i'll try VM 12 in combination with Win10

But as far as i have seen Windows10 is NOT giving you better botting performance/lower ressources.

I'm using win7 starter :D It's lightest. No need for ultimate pro super logest d*ck versions.

win7 starter doesn't provide 64 bit and only max 2 gb ram...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions#Comparison_chart

but if it's working for you (and you are running win7 64bit on your host) i guess i can try that...

is updating recommended? is there also a SP 2 possible?

Sry checked again and it's Home Basic not Starter. 2GB of RAM is enough for me. Whole machine with PoE running is using around 1.5-1.8GB of RAM. The game is running in 32bit mode, so does bot. Why would you need 64bit windows? It's using more resources.

Screen which I posted was after running six different locations by 8,5h. Loading every possible kind of monsters, bosses, attacks and map patterns will results high RAM usage but at start you should got no more than 0,75GB.

Are you using any additional tweaks/tools to decrease RAM usage?
I've tried several Win7 ISO versions and tried to tinker with RAM allocation per VM. Found out that stable amount is ~2.5GB per each VM, if i allocate less RAM crashes and freezes happen a lot more often. That is with Advanced System Settings set for max. performance too (turning Win7 outlook into WinXP look-alike).

I use the same ISO as you of two of my VMs
Win 7 Ultimate sp1 x64 lite by nil

guess i have to try out Home/Starter x86, got to see if that helps...

helps for what?
which problems you got?

/edit: by the way - is everyone using full clone or linked clone?
I will start a fresh VM install and won't do every single step once again... (install windows updates, install poe, install c++, tweak windows and such....)

well.
in my case RAM was never the bottleneck.
even with 8GB you got enough to run 3 (?) VMs and upgrade to 16 GB isn't that much investment.

So i wonder why you bother about ram ;)

CPU is one of the most important (and expensive) parts.

/edit: who else is running VM workstation version 12 WITHOUT graphic bugs or crashes? which hardware setup?

i really need to decide if i stick to VM 12 or go back to VM 7

well my 10-11 instances eat roughly 26gb of my 32gb ram. with some videostreams/music/skype/ts/thunderbird and maybe excel im at a constant 90% or more ram usage. its not really a bottleneck since cpu is at the same load, but still. its not negligible.

If I remember you can't turn on "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" when guest system is 32bit. And in my case it helps a lot.

You can try to increase page files but I don't know if that really helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-virtual-memory-size#1TC=windows-7

Edit.
Why would I want to virtualize it? I think it's placebo. "The only reason to set that checkbox is if you want to run virtual machines in your virtual machine."
Well in that case I will check it. I'm sure that after this and few other changes the performance increased, but maybe only those 'other changes' had affect on this.

So guys, I have an Intel i7-4770k cpu with 4 cores. I'm using VMware player 12 to run one bot and have assigned 2 cores to it. If I were to run another virtual machine would it use the other non-used cores?

I am only running 2 bots (only 1 on vmware). However previously I was using Vmware 7.xx and tried Vmware 10 -b oth gave me flickering, + graphics turned black and died within an hour or so botting.

I upgraded to Vmware 12 because of this thread, and I haven't had a single problem since. Game + Bot runs very smoothly for the last 3-4 days with almost no crashing (sometimes a mapchunk error when running 24h+ w/o a restart or something)

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (x32) Lite. 3 GB of Ram to my Vmware.

Hello, just a question
anyone tried to make changes in VM virtual memory settings (total paging files size) with some performance succes?
or it will be best to just leave automanage?

Im using VMWare12 or im testing it.
First Setup was Win7 Pro 32 Bit with 1GB Ram and 1 CPU 2 Cores. POE Graphics changed ofc.
When i start POE the VM Machine is lagging as hell and Bot cant even take a WP till get crashed like 95% of the time.
Then i changed the Settings to 3GB Ram 1CPU 4 Cores but i still got the same Problem.
And i got only 1 VM Machine running :(

My Hardware I7 4x 2,93GHZ / 16GB Ram / 240GB SSD / GPU AMD Radeon 5800

can someone help me to make my Setup Running...

Have you considered checking out this thread? http://steamcommunity.com/app/238960/discussions/0/792924952926701140/
It helped me alot, and i only use 2 cores per vm

thx but i already changed to that file to

antialias_mode=0
borderless_windowed_fullscreen=false
fullscreen=false
post_processing=false
resolution_height=600
resolution_width=800
screen_shake=false
shadow_type=no_shadows
texture_filtering=0
texture_quality=10
vsync=false
U gotta turn every settings down to shit because it still stuttered on mine, even the texture quality and stuff.

its already all settings down to totally shit... texture quality is 10 do you use 15 or what ?

10 is already totally shit

just adding, i hope u guys know vm's don't use your graphics card, its pure cpu. So overclock that cpu if your running it stock

y i know cpu is good enough to run some vm wares with this setup

if i got all running smooth i will upgrade my system to 8 core and 32gb ram
