[Venting Opinion] Make Honorbuddy a smaller target for Blizzard

Hello

I feel like I have the need to vent my opinion, I used HB for many things, leveling, arenas, garrison automation and so on and so forth. So the way I see it behind Bosslands reasoning(And please correct me if I'm wrong) is that the way to make HB a smaller target for Blizzard would be to remove arenas because as a result of this action the software does not have a big enough impact on the game for Blizzard to put down resources to detect it, or reduce the amount of resources that are currently going into this.

Now I see how this can make sense. If Blizzard thinks that this product does not make that much big of a difference? Then let's not put resources on it.

I think, that sure this may reduce the amount of resources Blizzard puts on detecting the bot. However, even without arenas, banwaves are still extremely likely to happen even soon after this recent one. I'm having a hard time picturing a scenario whereby Blizzard actively reduces the amount of recources that is being put on detecting this bot or ban people that are using it just because you can no longer use the software to your advantage in arenas. This bot overall still has a huge impact on the game. Even if Honorbuddy were to lose 30% of all it's users because of this decision then it will still be the largest bot for World of Warcraft by miles! Blizzard still cares about the game and still wants the game to be fair. They are not simply going to leave Honorbuddy alone even after the arenas decision has been made. They are coming at Bossland with lawsuits, big lawsuits! They are not going to back down now that they have won such a big part of the war. I really don't think that they will just leave the battle because of this. They will still be at it and they will still ban people. And sure, the ban rate may not be as high without arenas. But I think that everyone who knows that when you bot, you are putting your account in the risk for a permanent ban. The ban rate will always be there, it is up to the user to decide if it is worth the risk or not.

I will most likely not continue to use this bot because even after the removal of arenas, I still like it is way too unsafe to bot with this bot at this point in time.

Now, people have been going on about how this is a bad idea or vice versa, however I don't really see many suggestions on how to solve every problem. Honestly I don't really have one either, I'd just like to encourage readers of my thread to come up with suggestions on how to solve both problems(Allowing arenas and potentially more safety). I was having this idea of releasing a separate bot for arenas that if it were to get detected the PvE bot would not or something along those lines. But really I have no idea. I would still allow arenas but work on something that made the bot more secure. But I see how this can be hard considering the fact that the team does not know how all of these people were banned. Personally I think it was reports that had been collected over a set amount of time. You don't know if someone innocent has been banned. Some innocent people may have been banned because they were false accused of botting and then reported. Blizzard won't care if they say "Hay, I'm innocent, unban me bruh" and nobody else will either.

This is my personal opinion, I was not banned but I felt like I wanted to vent it. Good luck.

I think it's more of reducing player reports and making it less worthwhile. Less people cry to blizzard, thus botting is still dangerous but lower on the threat list.
It will never make it safe. It is merely to reduce player reports causing Blizzard to react more. A little bit safer, but no guarentees.
