V1.0.834.197 Loot Not Working

Hey Guys,

Today I updated my DB to Demonbuddy 1.0.834.197 and then My previous Loot Rules stopped Working. It use to pick up blues and now it does not. I tried fiddling around with the file but nothing changes. Any one have any ideas what happened?

Also, on one of my computers I get an error when trying to open demonbuddy. In the attached image.hunt Untitled.webp



Any one has any solution?

<Rule quality> has been deprecated from the loot rules. Probably the core of your loot problem. You will either have to update all of your loot rules per the patch notes, or wait for someone to do the same. As far as you copy not working, go ahead and download a fresh copy of DB and slap it in a new folder. Should work ok. If it doesn't it is probably a java or .net issue and you should reinstall those.

Here, 1st post of this thread the same place you download the new version from.

If you read the wall of text that accompanies it you will see:

"Rule 'quality' attribute is now deprecated. Use stat="Quality" value="Rare4" or your chosen rarity. The quality attribute will be removed in a future release."

under the New Features list.

That is developer speak for "All of your old loot rules will no longer work" . Yes it would have been better if they had written up a default loot rules.xml and included it with release, but they did tell profile/plugin writers about the change and what to do about it.

You need to remember that DemonBuddy is not yet the finished article, and that ALL of the plugins/profiles that are currently in use are written for free, and distrubuted for free by the community. In time this is going to change, but the devs are currently spending their time upgrading and supporting the actual demonbuddy program itself and there are no official profiles or plugins yet.
 
Same shit - DemonBuddy not loot any blue or yellow items after update. What to do?
 
funny thing is that even defualt loot rules are fucked :P
 
It would be too easy to give a some patchnotes so we can change it on our own
 
I'm also getting this problem - anyone know a fix? I've tried other loot rules and still not working.
 
I would strongly suggest that you use giles uber plugins of happiness. GilesStashReplacer and GilesWorldObjectHandler be sure to read the instructions and import his rule sets. It has been working flawlessly for me. Slightly longer to set up, but no more xml editing to change your loot rules. You just move giles happy item value sliders of ultimate joy.
