Updating honorbuddy without losing settings?

Hey everyone, i havent been using honorbuddy for very long but, i'm very pleased, seem to be a great tool for dooing pretty much everything inside wow automated.

I have used similiar tools before honorbuddy's time even all the way back to isxwow which really is a few yers back. Anyway i usually figure out most things on my own without needing to post however, i have not tumbled upon a post about how to update honorbuddy without losing your settings?

How do you go about this? Im aware that we are currently waiting on a new release to match the latest updates to wow, however when time comes eventually can i simply copy/paste over the old install or are there some files that i need to not copy over from the new package when it comes?

Also a side question is it possible to launch honor buddy without wow? For instance with a parameter to the launcher for honorbuddy or simliar? I really wanted to check out how custom routines work and setting up some paramters while i wait for the update to get fixed.

Your always better off starting with a new install with new updates.
A lot of times settings will change, files names change, pathes and pointers change and other things.
Especially more so with the bigger changes because of a major patch like this.
Yes you can copy over. But dont be surprised when glitches happen. They will tell you to start with a new install lol

I delete everything in the HB folder except;

Bots
Default Profiles
Plugins
Routines
Settings

Then I unzip the newest HB into the same folder which saves all of your previous settings and login.

I delete everything besides Settings and my SVN and DB custom scripts folders, then reinstall into the same directory.
