Hi guys, I am a new member to buddy bots and was wondering, does the bot need to be updated every time the game updates/patch?

Sorry if I'm posting on the wrong section, but an answer would be greatly appreciated. I am currently using Rebornbuddy and a new FF14 player.
Totally satisfied with my purchase :)

Pretty much yes. Just be patient and it will be up and running again before you know it :)

I was wondering coz there was a tiny patch that ended a while ago. Thanks for the quick reply!

a noob question : when it need to be updated, does it update automatic when we press the buddy icon or the login button , or do we have to manually update something ourselves ?

Half and half. I've found sometimes you have to manually download it and sometimes it prompts you to update it

thx for reply, another noob question : how long it usually takes to devs to update it ?

Its usually an hour or two after maintenance this time is taking a bit longer it looks like.

What he said... :-) I logged in and it began to update so I thought it was all good. But, at that time it was not. I am about to try it again.

So... should I update? Obviously, usually I do asap, but reading a couple of threads here it seems the recent update is like Hindenburg meets Titanic meets the second Matrix movie. The bot appears to be running w/o updating, so is there any pressing reason for me to do so?

My client always asks me to update but I have already done so. Is there a way for it to detect my client version?

When you first start the bot (or at the top of a log), there'll be a bunch of orange lines that are like [Time] Fate Bot v1.0.XXX.0, PvP v1.0.XXX.0, Fishing v1.0.XXX.0, etc.
The XXX is the version you're using. I'm at 264, and everything seems to working fine.
