Greetings,

I was wondering if setting my bot to questing using KickAzz quest profile through the night, is that too unsafe? Is it a long period of botting time you think?

From about 12 AM till around 10 AM, would this be too risky you think?

You should be fine. If you're worried you can use one of the few monitoring plugins. They're hypersensitive to your character not moving in a while, other players talking to you, getting stuck, and a few have logout timers if you want it to shutdown in the middle of the night.

Thank you i'll have a look :)

It depends on quite a few factors, how stable is the questing profile, ie: stucks ect..., server pop, are you running any addons to help lower the risk of detection like the plugin LogMeOut. What cr are you using? Usually singular is best for afk bot questing. If you take a few precautions I would say you should be fairly safe. I for one have lvled over 20 toons using Kicks and left them afk while I was at work, out with friends ect.. But anytime you cheat you run the risk of being detected. Just be smart about it. I hope I helped, but your question was pretty broad.

Could you share your settings for LogMeOut? :)

you can also use Smart phone apps to view and interact with your computer via, wifi or cell data. This way you can monitor from anywhere and move/exit/help unstick, ect...

Here are a few:

Splashtop2
Logmein
TeamViewer

there is no point in showing you my settings, its simple and easy to set up, just read the setting if its what you want/dont want change the value and check/uncheck it. Its that easy. Oh, Disable QuickConnect button of Teamviewer by right clicking to teamviewer taskbar icon and click "Toggle QuickConnect Button". It conflicts with ARelog" That information came from here.

Not asking you to show it to me nor trying to learn how to use it, but you did post it towards that user to help him and I am just point out the attachment doesn't allow everyone to view the image.

Regardless, I believe I referred that same plugin to someone else and they thought it was great. It seems to definitely be the thing to use. A relogger would also aide in restarting the bot if it crashes, disconnects, ..etc, and if you go out there are plenty of services that either upload information about your current bots to view away from home, as well as push technology to various phones; some even have the ability to reply to messages you get in-game.

Questing isn't stable enough to leave it overnight. Better use grinding.

Having said that, yes, it's safe to leave it and go to sleep. I bot 24/7 no problem with Botanist's Pangea profiles and I haven't had any issues so far in terms of safety.

I bot on my main, and I'm of the paranoid sort, so I don't do anything bot related when I'm not physically home to babysit and keep a sharp eye on the bot itself. I did bot overnight once, but that was back when I first started using HB in 2010. This was before Blizzard implemented all their new things to help with banning bots, such as the new reporting system. Since then I have not botted while sleeping or away from the PC. I also rarely use any other bot base aside from LazyRaider and Tyrael. I have started using Quest Bot again, but that's to level a toon on another server. I'm very interested in using DungeonBuddy, but I'm too afraid to use it since I would be botting LFR with it, and that's just too many people to notice something strange going on with me and possibly reporting me. All in all, I just bot extremely safely, so I have no use for reloggers and smartphone apps to report to me. Sorry for not being of any help.

Questing is the safest, yet not the most stable, which is why reloggers and monitoring plugins are recommended. Grinding and Gatherbuddy are the most unsafe forms of botting.

Gatherbuddy is unsafe, yes, but what's the problem with Grinding ? Most of the time there isn't anyone around to see me grind.

Server side detection will be the death of you. Killing a bunch of mobs in the same area for a while can set off some red flags.
