UNBAN Oksehode ***please***

+1 for unbanning Okse!

He might have broken some rules and that should clearly give him a warning!
But banning someone who makes DB worth anything is just a bad move.
 
Oksehode made a big contribution to the community and helped refine the rifting bot, fixing the pathing of bots when they got stuck on certain rifts. I think what he did was an honest mistake, and you cannot punish some for ignorance of the rules. You guys warned him, and so now he knows... no need to perma-ban after only one warning.
 
Free the bullhead (okeshode) Active guy that helps the lazy botter ppl! Even tho he broke the rule, he is a good person. good ppl needs to be unbanned.
 
If he's valuable to the community - he's valuable to demonbuddy as a whole...

How about instead of just banning the guy - you make him semi-admin?

Seems like he has his whole heart in this too... maybe cut the guy slack and allow for him to help the community more.

Yes there can be risks, but what other motives does this guy have than what he's been doing - giving a lot of his personal time (at no gain for himself) - to the community.

Hopefully you guys can make it right and give this guy maybe a different section in the forums such as: "Use at your own risk" section.

If you give him admin for that section only so he can control what he distributes out and monitor posts... maybe, just maybe - you'll gain a great addition and make him feel that he is welcome to the community and will benefit EVERYONE [people like me who aren't script savvy] with his talent for scripts and setting up this thing.
 
ChinaJade is unbanning him. All should be sorted in 15 minutes or so.
 
I didn't ban him, but, there's a few reasons for it;

1) It would have been pretty easy to include a keylogger, trojan, virus, etc and steal all your info. You probably would have no idea if this happened unless you personally check CRC's and such.
2) Redistributing Demonbuddy.exe in Germany is against the law
3) Because of #2 it puts Bossland GmbH at risk - if you want to continue botting, you will follow the rules and not distribute Demonbuddy where it's against the law

I also agree that it was a bit harsh since he was actually contributing something which was also very popular, but ignorance does not grant immunity.

Is there a way to make his own forum as I suggested? -- "Use at your own risk?" -- Putting a disclaimer in there stating that you can put yourself at risk?

- Also I agree with not letting the Germany distribution happen etc. -> Legal reasons.
 
Bush league move. Guy is a huge help to the development of multiple projects. Unban.

Glad to hear this. I hope he comes back, Sorry it had to happen to. But the reasons for the banning make sense. But i also be leave it would of prob been handled a little diffrent if it was cough sooner. One member of the buddy team is away in surgery and he use to handle things like this on a daily basis like it was his job. Maybe not.

Good to hear.

I am assuming this forum is IP blocked from Germany so uploading his Rifting Compilation in a .zip (read: not a compiled installer) to the forum (read: Not third party file hosting) would solve all our problems?

We try to enforce the rules in even-handed fashion, regardless of who made the post. Please read the following article, if you are confused as to why this happened:

No doubt there will be some complaints of 'showing favoritism'. But, the action was taken according to the forum rules. The appeal process was followed according to the forum rules. All is now as it should be.
