The defaults should work for a push and go situation. It will temp blackspot it and then blackspot it just for that character.

What does that have to do with people wanting to know if the plugin still works?

Considering HB3 doesn't fully support all the old features it is not unreasonable to ask that question. Especially in a thread that hadn't been updated in 7 months.
