Holy cow.. This actually means me and my mates will be blasting through the levels with instance grinding and RaF. And also able to boost, fucking awsm.
 
I wish the BG bot was just as smooth as IB and had a smarter "AI"
 
idk, like all bots the general public has no clue, as long as it stays that way. it will be fine, obviously, they think oh its an auto fallow afk kind of bot. when its obviously not. and who knows there's more then just instancebuddy that's able to bot instances.

thank you so much. i understand your reservations about implementing this but for the botter/multiboxer in me this is nirvana. i would not dare use in a mixed party - because i'm selfish and 'tank time' is too valuable in most realms i'm on.

Sooner or later someone is going to make a plugin that will enable the bot to interact with people in-game.

At first the bots started with grinding, then questing and now doing instances.
Who knows what they would be able to in a few months? =p

after seeing the way squire moves based on player density, it shouldn't be too hard to imagine raphus's new features would be too hard to implement.

I love the fact that they think the bot /follows and not the other way around it actually works. Also it's awesome that they rather want bots in their party than kiddie dps :P

Many bots do use the "/follow" feature, so they're not entirely wrong :)

Maybe, but I was referring to IB. When i'm watching it I can see the pattern that it navigates through. It clicks on the ground. Would you call that a /follow feature?
 
This is a thread we can all ignore because..

The botting community is only going to get stronger as our bots get more complex and smarter than blizzard. Blizzard most likely knew about things of the "instance botting" because if they were going to ban people left and right because of botting (they won't for economics) they would have already banned everyone! This is also less detectable if your smart with configuration.

I can see it now! The bot will be able to walk into a dungeon.. say a randomized phrase or Hi message, effectively follow the tank and kill with very customized instance scripting and custom classes. Some would need much more work for example "OCC" will probably be at the end of the list.

In the small chances that blizzard wasn't very aware of instance botting it is a sad day to see people posting like this on the forums. While they most likely know, it could be a wakeup call to change some things.

We should not need to worry because we are growing stronger with each update (usually) and this will probably be a safer method.

NOTE: One thing I really hate is when groups call out they are doing achievements. In the Culling of Strathlome they were doing that zombie one. Lord I was killing each thing the tank picked up and they ended up kicking me for stupidity.
