Hi,

I want to write my experiences about botting after 13th May.

I have 6 different accounts, on 2 PCs and 4 VMware Workstation 12 VMs. What I've done after the accs get online again:

- Installed 4 new VMS (win 8.1)
- Installed and downloaded WOW 6 times.
- Bought 3 different KVM-Linux-Hosts(each 2-4$ per month)
- Setup different routing for all VMs and Host-Installations(openVPN with classic IPv4 routing)
- Bought 1 VPN KVM-Host for Honorbuddy in NL(I'm from Germany)

So, I got different IPs for most of the Installations, 6 different Games-Installations and so on. The routing for the honorbuddy-auth-servers you could find out via netstat/wireshark on Windows.

After that I've started botting as before. 8-12 hours a day mostly do garrison stuff, or kicks autoloader "wod pathfinder loader".(Treasures, Dailies, etc...) My bots do what other "players" do and even some PVP in the daily zones. Also I farm fellblight in da swamp... And some "LFR" with Dungeonbuddy...

What I don't do so far is, BGs, Arena and 5 man Dungeon bot group. But I will soon, because I believe that nothin' has changed after the banwave. I am quite sure that blizzard knows who is using honorbuddy and feels quite "ok" with them. The only problem are "Non-Botters" who take "this shit" too serious. ;-)

just for info
Markus

good luck and for you last statement about "non-botters" a lot of them do take it way to serious i dont think that blizzard is as hard core about there antibotting policy as they say they are they know that there are a crap ton of bots out there but they also know that if they were to really ***** down on us then they would lose a lot of subs the game is growing but slowly dieing at the same time as more and more are playing but not playing as much or botting that is just my opinion

I dont think they know who bots. I think they got pissed off about the court case and just banned everyone who had been reported. Otherwise every time you log on and open honorbuddy you would be banned.

No, the bot was detected at that time. One of my accounts that I only used LazyRaider on was also banned, and no one knew I was botting my combat routines, so this is false. They knew

I had a friend that ran a fur far 24/7 and never got hit by the ban, he had that same bot going the hole 6 months of the ban. I think he just lucked out though

since count is unban for me i have installed VM and french ovh socks5 for this account. 2 hunter horde 1 dk horde 1 drood horde + 1 hunter ally. All have made their conquest weekly in bg with bgfarmer by millz with tuanHA routine. My account is always up atm so i will continue. I just search another RAF (who can follow somebody design like a tank) for arena or other things.

i have yet to see that abstracting your network packets and virtualization does anything

I was thinking of doing a character transfer from my WOW 1 account to my 6 month banned account. I guess it is as safe as it always has been until the next ban wave.

blizzard wasnt "quite" okay with me. 2 accounts banned poof. just leveling via kicks for the most part.

A single behaviour could have slipped through because their filter didnt catch it. I personally think that blizzard hired some huge computer server centre to analyze terrabytes of combat logs to iron out all the bots. And since that costs a lot, that's why we haven't seen it happen again. Also the buddy team has not been able to figure out what was detected, and reason dictates that if the bot was detected people would get banned a lot more than they have been.

Though of course, I am only speculating. But in my reality on how things work in this business this would be the logical path to follow.

I haven't written that blizzard is able to detect the bot with some kind of "scanning" my workstation. But, as some other have written before, detection could also happen on there servers. Big Data, NoSQL and so on are "modern ways" to detect patterns and maybe blizzard is fooling around with this. ;-)

why then is all?

you do realize that it may not affect anything.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I too have made the return and agree with your views on Blizzard's stance on botters.

Cheers

you do realize that it may not affect anything.

Because, I think the chance to lose all at once is significant lower then. I don't think it is detectable, but I think they have some kind of "presumption" Mark on any account.

two weeks before 13th May I lost one account because of too much Arena "fun". All other accounts were not affected. Even not on the same PC.

I run 3 accounts but only 2 got banned in the ban wave even though I use HB on them all.

What ever u do don't bot ashran, I was using mills bg farmer in ashran and it must of done some stupid things and got reported and lost my account in a permanent ban a few weeks ago

I don't like botting Ashran either it seemed to be as bad as bg botting. Every person that was botting at the same time was running to the same events ect.
