I used this routine in raid today. It performed well. It wasn't in any sense "good" but it was "sufficient".
What I do miss is a load of configuration options for Shadow spec. I can't really configure anything much for shadow....
- The routine is on a fixed rotation based upon assumptions that are (mostly) incorrect. The rotation relies heavily on Mind Spike which, based on pre-T18 gear, is a significant DPS loss when compared to DOT-weaving. If the routine is unable to calculate the best option, at least let me configure DOT-weaving or not.
- The routine uses 5th tier talent on cooldown. Not only is this a DPS loss in most situations, it's also dangerous since T5 talent ignores CC and thus breaks it. Especially Cascade is a problem there; for the other two I can just stand out of range but the range on Cascade (40y from last hit) makes that impossible.
- Burst DPS can be configures but does nothing. Mindbender is not considered burst (with 2pT18 rightfully so) and the routine doesn't use potions at all.
- DP is configurable on number of orbs but I can't configure it to be used on burst. I might, for example, want to use it on 5 orbs except on burst. That way I'd always have a DP ready to use on burst.
In general, the Shadow side of this routine is worse than Singular and much, much worse than hand play. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in it's current state.
