I have to play manual to understand the class and learn about the logic.

But I'm a complete moron while playing manually :D
 
Are MW going to be any good in 5.2 Arena/RBG?
I read on the forums that blizzard has fucked them over.
 
Probably someone already asked the same... will be able to play Mistweaver monks with your routine tomorrow (even ranged MW), if HB will work too?

dont mention it, i feel completely the same. Havent go manual in quite some time, and my raid leader said were heavily starting ToT tomorrow night. THAT will be fun. :D

Nope, till its not updated, reworked, you wont find much use for routine as Windwalker/Mistweaver. TBH i havent following HonorBuddy releases lately, so im not even sure that you will have working Honorbuddy tomorrow. Even so, WW/MW monks are changed so much that, even if you would be able to use non updated routine tomorrow, going full retard manual would perform better till routine is updated. :)

Dunno about this one, i see that base cost of some core spells are increased by solid amount, but on other side i see Tiger Palm restoring 4% mana. Looking globally changes, i see that blizz finally gave some love to melee fistweaver monks at the cost of classic ranged healing. Mistweavers, as they are, are really powerful in arenas, they have good PvP utility and strong heals, combined that with HoT healing, good movement and strong single target heals they were.. good. I presume that giving some love to Fistweavers costed classic healing mechanic. For me.. fistweaving is only reason why i actually created a monk, so its good to see some love there. :)

If HB will work tomorrow, u can use the routine. But you should only be using the MistWeaver settings, if you wanna use preset user settings.
Melee healing has changed a lot.
Ranged healing is nearly the same, so you can use the MistWeaver settings if you want to.

What's going to happen is that until the CR is updated, you'll want to disable all melee spells. They way they work has changed drastically, and using the old settings will run you OOM in a heartbeat. You will still want to STAND in melee to avoid raid mechanics and such, but use only ranged spells until such time as the changes are taken into account.
 
Question for everyone. I have been playing a little on the PTR and it seems that FW is cool with the new mana return, but you are going to go OOM really fast if you want to AOE heal making a lot of Chi fast (uplift)....is that correct? With the amount of Chi we get from channeling now is that going to be better for all around heals?

Also I have no idea how to reforge now, Not sure if we should be going mastery because of the healing sphere healing when they expire.

Anyway I can wait to see how we really are tonight in raids! I am like some of you and I am amazing healer with the profile....God help me tonight! :)
 
Well, i have to say, i liked the previous version better. Where can i find a copy of that to download?
And how is the donator edition compared to the puplic version? if much better, where do i donate?
 
just texted my raid leader...that I got called in to work in the ER..

Just tried WW on target dummy...cant get any thing to attack other than auto attack...tried Singular..same thing ..tried Singular CR just to check same thing...not sure if the spell id's changed...but bot does nothing after buffing.

I'm trying to remake Monk.

Blizzard changed the class a lot and therefore monk need a lot of work.

I may need focus full time on this lovely class and can't give support in a few days, my apology.

Hope we can get a working copy in 2-3 days.

Also try to see if you can utilize the new Earth, wind, fire spell, and the new dispel spell. Would appreciate it!

That is because the new zone including raid is not yet in the HB mesh. as soon as they add it to the mesh this error will be resolved.

Quick update on MistWeaver.

Blizzard changed a lot on Mistweaver heal style. The combination of Spining Crane Kick/ Jab to build Muscle Memory and how to spend it with Blackout Kick/Tiger Palm is hard to code but powerful if it work properly. Nice for FistWeaving melee healing style.

Please give me few more day testing... I'll try to update svn as soon as working copy completed.

Ranged healing is untouched right? For tonight can i just heal without fistweaving with the "old" CC?
