TuanHA Hunter - The Ultimate Experience

It seems like the curse of trying to administer Too many class CRs is starting to effect this CR which used to be top DPS hands down. Tonight in H-BRF a free CR out DPS'd the paid version of this one. Tuanha, I've been a long time supporter, but maybe you're stretching yourself too thin? If you need assistance with rotation or anything else pertaining to the hunter class just ask us, seems there are plenty here invested in the success of the product.

I may having too many CR but I raid often on Hunter and I to be honest don't think it's bad... I do decent dps every time... and my dps really close to simcraft.

Sometime you need a good talent, glyph, movement, target in a specific fight to get decent dps but it's mostly depend on the player and not the bot itself.

Which settings do you use while raiding?
and talents ilvl?

well it aint good that's for sure , huntastic doing 5-7k more for me on single target bosses.

your cr seems to have no brain , it will spam focusing shot when its above 80 focus.
 
I have paid version and can out DPS #hunter/Huntastic with TuanHA I use Noxxic for Talent suggestions and OFC spec Survival. Paid version seems to DPS hard and never has issues. Was close to full mythic hunter last night.

Not sure why because I have no log and I never see it happen to me so I can't fix thing that not exists :D

But anyway, I've made extra check condition to make sure Focus Shot spam never happen.

Please svn update to latest version and let me know.

just tested huntastic vs tuanha.
on 5m damage, the dps was like, +-300k. though in tuanha i had to enable AMoC and explosive trap on single target because huntastic has no option to disable it.
and i know from mythinc raiding that tuanhas multitarget logic is good, really good.

What is the BEST talent/glyph on PvP/PvE?
There's no BEST talent/glyph on PvP, that depend on what your team need, what your playstyle... However you can look for top world PvPer talent/glyph/enchant in PvP Ladders. Just use the filter class/spec you need.

On PvE, SimulationCraft is a very good site for recommended talent/glyph. Just download the file, click Import > Sample Profiles Tab > Select Class/Spec you need.

But we need understand the fight and change talent accordingly, like on fight that require a lot movement, I don't pick Focusing Shot because the spell can't cast on moving and don't pick Focusing Shot mean talent Steady Focus is not worthy that mean use [Dire Beast] or [Thrill of the Hunt]...

And I almost never use talent Lone Wolf because it's a dps loss most the time :D

Well something like that, do some research, reading. You need understand your hunter, the fight... tweak setting and you will get decent dps everytime xD

Hi Tuan,

Massive fan of all your routines, I have purchased and owned the bundle for quite a while now. Slight problem in the hunter routine:

I have deselected auto attack out of combat yet as soon as I target an enemy the bot starts to attack (nightmare on boss fights) I am not righclicking I am neutral left clicking.

Any fix?
 
TuanHA has no clue what he's talking about when it comes to talents and whatnot, so take what he says with a grain of salt* (*big bag).
He's either lying or entirely clueless in what he does as a hunter when raiding, as the CR is absolutely shit when it comes to Single Target. It does stupid shit like capping focus or waiting for focus regen to cast Explosive Shot.

Try a CR like YRB2 and compare with this. It will be like comparing newly baked bread with a stale old bagel.
Whoever says otherwise just doesn't know what they're doing.

Dont really know about pve, but with this CC I reached 2k rating in 3s last season.

I'm talking entirely PVE. Top tier raiding PVE.
Either he starts listening to the input or this CR is doomed to be a bottom tier raiding CR.

Just a heads up Tuanha... As of 6.1 BM is going to be the go to raiding spec according to the best guides available to hunters and most of the Mythic raid team hunters that participate in social media.

Currently, the best spec for raiding is Beast Mastery almost universally for its single-target DPS prowess and superior multi-target to all of its alternatives. Survival’s strength lies in AoE as well, however it is neither as bursty nor as consistently powerful as that of Beast Mastery. Survival is also limited by movement because one of its more frequently used talents is Focusing Shot, however it does not rely on a pet to do its AoE damage and is generally a simpler spec. Marksmanship has little to no AoE, but amazing single-target burst which may become useful if you truly need to burst something in the short term. However, Beast Mastery is capable of bursting more frequently.

Beast Mastery only becomes significantly stronger on single-target with the 4-piece bonus, and Marksmanship should be used for pure single-target fights like Gruul until you have it.

The short answer, for current-day PvE raiding: Beast Mastery.

Openers

All openers consider set bonuses, but work fine without them.
Beast Mastery

1 Precast Focusing Shot if chosen.
2 On-uses/racials + Dire Beast
3 Bestial Wrath + Kill Command
4 Stampede
5 Barrage

Rotation/Priority
Beast Mastery

1 Stampede (should be used on top of strong buffs as long as a usage is not dropped)
2 Dire Beast
3 Focus Fire (when 5 stacks of Frenzy, pop it with 3-4 stacks before going into Bestial Wrath, pop if Frenzy buff expiring)
4 Barrage (>1 targets)
5 Explosive Trap (>1 targets)
6 Kill Shot (if sub-20%)
7Kill Command
8 Barrage
9 Arcane Shot (dump excess focus)
10 Cobra Shot/Focusing Shot (generate)

When facing >2 targets, keeping Beast Cleave up on the pet with Multi-Shot takes priority over Kill Command.
