Trying to get a tiny bit wiser regarding detection, as to how to approach Blizzard

Odd, I was botting on one account, while pvping on my main account only my botting account was banned.

yea the quote I made earlier didn't entirely reflect the point I was going for. But yours kinda sums up what I am getting at. Do they scan your hd's for HB ? I highly doubt it. Memory?, maybe. But I think it's more likely the case they can see it running on your account server side. And there isn't any preventive measures us as a end user could take to hide that.

sorta off point here, but does HB have to send any sort of data packets to wow ?

And this is based upon what? I'd understand if you said they can see it running on the client side, but basically HB doesn't connect to the server side but is making the client do stuff, which again sends data to the server. The only way of detecting it server side is user/data patterns. There is no connection from HB directly to the server.
Besides, if he was running a 64bit client on his main account and 32bit for the botting account, it might as well be the reason. Or it could be random account selection for banning as well.

Obviously it needs to send some data to the client.
