hi chaps, considering buying DB and as a long time user of HB one of the things that was re-assuring was tripwire. (despite all the banning due to that time bliz found us accidently when looking for.. Luaninja i think it was called).

What defense does DB have? (i.e is there a tripwire to monitor / kill processes if warden changes)

thanks in advance ^^

Im not suggesting they should. i just know that tripwire was a great selling point and wonder if DB has something similair in place in case warden changes.

Lol. Sure...

Any of the buddy-devs will explicit explain us here, how they defend the bot-software against warden.
EVERYONE can read this forum even without registration.

very clever. ffs

We know what we're doing. I'll leave it at that. (I can't say much of anything specific for fairly obvious reasons...)

I'm guessing Tripwire and reading patches.

like CRC checks on each module or something, so if they update warden then there's a byte change which trigger warden... what you probably don't know is that Warden Guy does only release his anti-bot checks only when he knows he can win (or a good chance to).

That's why MMOGlider got sued when they started checking patches and using tripwire, after that they were basically immune to banwaves (or near to, as long as they were checking everything)

There's also a working at the Kernel Level, since Kernel is level 0 and warden can only check level 1 (but I heard it could update at any time to check level 0)... I'm guessing they don't use a rootkit to do that but we would be seeing more BSODs since most rootkits are usually unstable.

All theory though.

okey dokey, glad to see its in hand, and ye wasnt trying to get exact specifics (because none of it means anything to me). all i was hoping for was a reply "yep, dont worry if warden changes we have a kill switch to protect you" ;p

My question is, what if warden updates and we're in the middle of botting and didn't update our bot? :(

Tripwire closes DB and possibly diablo when tripwire is triggered. DB needs an update before it can be run with diablo from there on.
