Trinity is the issue?

Hey all,

I'm a month into using this bot.. I have to say nothing i've tried has landed me successful gear. I have limtied it so i'm only looking for the exact items in the all in one LoN crusader build, but I have put very weak stats and asked for even non-ancients..

Weeks and weeks, and nothing has shown up.

I have tried his settings with his item list and edited that, I have deleted everything and did an items list manually and tried that, and I have even used one of the coded items list with the custom settings and manually edited that.

So its two things:

1) I am the most unlucky person in the world

or

2) trinity and items list is completely screwed

I've used SVN and tried updating to latest, and thats a complete mess..it fights for one rifts of so then hangs out in town for the rest of the night.. the released version is working fine and will grift to the end of the world, but again..no items... ever.

i'm doing torment X and grift 52 at this point, but i'm stuck here until I can go from my invoker set to some of this better gear...

ahh well, no clue. Maybe its just me, but i've done everything up to and included reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling everything to try and make the items list work.

Can I ask a question.. I see items i've put in and they have been marked as TRASH but maybe they haven't yet met the thorns requirements i've set. Is there a way in the log to list the stats of the items when its comparing so I can verify it is in fact not good enough?

There is a button in the Trinity tab in DB's main window 'Check ItemList'. If you have your logging level set to Verbose in DB settings it will print out some info on how the items in your backpack will be evaluated. It doesn't compare against your actual rules but its useful to see if the stats are being read correctly from the item.

As far as item lists i would recommend you grab Crazy's list for your class here https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/demonbuddy-guides/240443-crazys-itemlists.html and then use the 'more...' dropdown option 'clear all rules'.

Run that and see if its keeping items. Since you're at GR55 you're probably looking to upgrade your gear to good ancient versions so i would then enable the box 'Always sell/Salvage Non-Ancients' and uncheck 'Always keep ancients'. So now the bot is only keeping ancient versions of the items you have selected in the list.

As far as Trinity versions go.. the current release (45.1) is effected by a bug in DB where item stats are not correct sometimes. Sometimes the bot will not realize that an item is unidentified or ancient and salvage it. It effects some people more than others but we haven't been able to figure out the commonality between these people.

Anyway, if i were you i would use the latest builds from SVN. I've written replacements for most of the item related code in DB down to the core which seems to have worked in side-stepping the issue. It does still have a few bugs - please report them on our discord chat https://discord.gg/0q6rdHuR3PwCBFs6 so we can get this stable and then i can release it. I am also posting zips for each new build if you don't want to mess with downloading from source control.

Tbh just don't set stat requirement on items other than ancient. Manually do your Item List item by item. I have literally never lost an item to the bot thinking it wasn't what it was.

I only have it save items for each setup a class uses for T10 and GRs and only get maybe half a stash tab a night. Granted I run 94s so they aren't fast by any means.
