Trinity Combat Routine - Whirlwind vs. Elites

Hey guys,

I noticed that whirlwinding elites doesn't work that well. Spamming bash works better than the occasional 1-2 hits a whirlwind gets in as he doesnt hug the target with whirlwind but instead whirls around it not hitting it continuesly.
Any suggestions?

Most of your damage comes from the little Whirlwinds (~70%)
So whats wrong?

To spread these, a combo of Whirlwind (the skill) and Sprint (Run of the Wild!) is mandatory.

Maybe you wear the wrong gear / specced wrong? :]

I'm experiencing the exact opposite.

My WW barb WW's most all enemies except for elites. He'll stop WW'ing, (thus no tornado's) and instead just swing away....even with fury half way filled or more....

Thoughts?

It's not whirlwind producing tornado's, it's your sprint.
