Tried and I made like $14...?

I tried and I made like $14 minus what I paid for MOP ($20) and this bot ($40 something).

Now, I have to pay $15 to start again I realize that. The biggest problem I have is buyers; the only place I can seem to sell to is the Chinese gold sellers (they don't pay much + paypal takes a cut on international transactions).

How can I increase my chances of finding a private buyer (what sites can I use etc...)?

Because I really don't want to pay $9/month for owned core to get id verified, pay for an intermediary etc... I'd actually prefer to use moneybookers instead, but it seems people prefer paypal so they can chargeback & get free shit.

Anywho, I have two 90s (one has engineering/bs and the other jc/mining). In the long run I hear it is better to have multiple 90s so you can farm/post to auction house.

What would be my first step? Do I get a pure gatherer herb/miner to 90 and then level some others with herb/alchemy, inscription/tailoring, skinning/lw etc...)? Exactly how many of each gathering/trade skill profession do you need and is it better to have every character with a gathering prof to complement their trade skill or 2-3 pure gathers characters?

And if there are 8 90s on a single server (same account) is that detrimental to making an irl profit? Should I at least branch out to other servers (on same account)?

I would make another account, I really would. If I had the time or money. I just don't feel another $60 investment is worth it as I was unable to be successful the first time around. In no way do I expect to get rich. I could only hope for some gas/food money (after the $15 fee) to help me out with tuition costs while I look for a job.

One last question. How much gold do you make before you actually start selling? It was stupid I made my first 20k (gathering) and sold right away. I didn't put any thought into maxing out trade professions/leveling other chars/crafting etc... because I was too lazy to do the research and find a bot to do this/spend time crafting. When are you in an adequate position to sell gold? When you have 10 90s on each server with every trade skill/prof maxed out and a full selection of craftables at the disposible?

My only qualm with this is time. If they announce or release a new expansion by then (or a patch), you're screwed.

you don't need so many lvl 90s on one account, it doesn't help much. What you need is a good farmer and one or two shuffle characters.
Just farm herbs and ores, do the shoulder enchant shuffle and maybe gem/disenchant or trillium bar shuffle. Check out above guide and my blog too if you want, but I focus more on multiple bots active.
