TPing with TP locked!

I know I've seen this posted before but I was unable to find why it hasn't been looked into yet.

I noticed running a queen profile tonight that my toon, who still has town portal LOCKED, IE: there is a locked icon there, I cant do it by pressing the "T" key, used town portal when inventory was full. There is no way that this isn't throwing a flag out there. Has this been looked at? If so how come it hasn't been fixed?
 
I'm pretty sure if you see your toon teleport, it has teleport - something must be deceiving you. DB does not mess around with gamefiles, so it couldn't possible TP without TP-spell.
 
Nothing is deceiving me. The skill is a blank icon on my bar. I've tried using the T key which is the town portal hot key and it doesn't work. This has also been reported in numerous threads and apparently has never been looked into (Correct me if Im wrong).. It is certainly something that shouldn't be happening.
 
Last i heard they were looking into it. Possibly forgot about it? Good to bring it up again just incase they thought they fixed it guess.
 
Ive commented about this in the first OP, and have commented on it in many other posts....
Nothing has been said, other then 'leave a log'.
It has been stated it will do it numerous times in low leveling profiles, that at the time, were linked.

Random community members lay the blame on lag... Though this doesn't make complete sense since w/out TP, it still happens.
Maybe DB team has never been able to reproduce it?

My fear is that it is 'forcing' the game to accept the command, somehow; though DB logic says it isn't possible.
Since ive seen my toon force TP (despite me being lvl 60 and something 'interrupts' TP and still casts, or being level 5) It has always worried me this may be a detection possibility.

I cannot say for sure; only officials can - which they have not.

I dunno... Leave it up to speculation?
 
It would be quite easy for DB to use teleport with out having the skill unlocked. The skill being locked bars only players from using it, not from programs that can utilize injection or just splicing in a command directly to the server from doing it.

I'd guess the town portal locked thing is probably only client side. But this def needs looked into as it could be an easy detection.
 
This is my main concern. That something being injected into the game is allowing us to bypass actually using blizzards intended way of using town portal ie: a command sent directly to the game.
 
If you're so worried then don't use it on a toon that doesn't have town portals yet......?

Secondly you're worried about playing the game in a way that blizzard didn't intend you to while you're using a bot? .............smart..............


Its been discussed countless times; its not considered important enough to fix now; the devs are well aware of it the first 500 times it was brought up.

No. Just no. Its people like you who will give money to anyone. Once again. We pay someone for a product. Said product could possibly be getting people banned. That is a BIG deal. They've never said ANYWHERE that it wasn't a big enough problem for them to look into and I'm damn sure they wouldn't appreciate an ignorant nobody like yourself stating something like that about their product.

So please, go back to the hole you crawled out of douche bag. In fact, I've looked through the rest of your post and you've done nothing but spew 10 year old dribble, you've posted nothing of worth on these forums at all. Just stop posting. Please, for us all.

I for one want to see this program become the best out there. It wont without safety issues being fixed.

O valen please stop. You were completely lost in other thread and still are. By your logic we should all just email blizz and tell them were botting.

Fact is the bot SHOULDNT be doing what I posted. I and many others use this bot because its the safest around. This bug is a possible security concern and if it is makes the bot less safe. I don't use this program and just throw caution to the wind. I try to keep my account alive for as long as possible. If you don't, that's your choice, but don't blow it off like it's meant to happen.

This is something we're looking into, however its very low priority.

Tip: have a friend take you to A2 normal as a level 1. You'll forever have TP before you do the quest to unlock it.

The TP ability being grayed out is just something for their "tutorial" system and to make you play the game beyond the first 5 or so quests. The ability is still very much usable at level 1. (We'll be adding some additional logic to avoid using it if its not unlocked though, but for now, it's not a major issue)
 
Understand all. It's not something Ill intentionally be doing again, but other's dont know and I felt it needed to be pointed out. Thanks Apoc.

Completely agree with you; if this is a possible way for detection.
Though, a lot of the community doesn't recognize this problem; rather blames it on lag. <-despite having the TP ability or not.

Good thing is that devs are aware of this occurring problem and will fix it when (probably) random pathing is polished.

Not much else can be done at this point...
