/sigh ... To agree with your logic, one would have to believe that God exists. If God does not exist, then there are no God given rights. If God does exist, I'm pretty sure he has more to worry about than you not online gaming anymore. Corporate America does not tell anyone what they can and can't do with their personal lives. Business provide products. you choose to purchase or not. Purchase and abide by the rules and live happily ever after. Purchase and break the rules, and risk losing your product. All botters know this. Grow up, chill out, and Bot On. Peacefully. Life is to short for your nerd rage. That is all.

to all those who cant read. And thanks for the update Bossland, still supportin ya! Hope it all works out

Purchases should not have rules (especially entertainment products) after the sale is completed. "Corporate America does not tell anyone what they can and can't do with their personal lives." That is exactly what they are doing. The only part of a persons life that should be accessible to companies is during the purchase itself. Once the transaction is done they have no right to know anything more about that person or what they do in any aspect of life. Let alone tell them what they can and cannot do with the product they already paid for.

So by your logic, music artist shouldn't be allowed to protect their intellectual properties, and Blizzard shouldn't be allowed to protect the integrity of their product? How about a T-shirt or Picture, once I purchase an original, I'm free to copy and redistribute it? What about plagiarism and patents; or even DB? ...Only lazy fucks that have no aspirations argue that everything should be "free and fair" "corporate America" "we are the 99%". People like you and the Gatecrasher is why this country lost its culture, because companies consider everything a liability now; playing it safe not wanting to get sued.

Go take your misguided crusade someplace else.

How are botting and piracy related at all? Botters pay for the use of the game.

Do you not understand that it ruins the integrity of the game, reducing longevity, affecting sales? How long do you think WoW would last if everything was free? Piracy essentially has the same effect, making an asset available without having to trade goods or services for its use.

ITT: Bad analogies.

If you're incompetent... go away now, the adults are talking.

Misguided crusade?
Maybe..

@mirbz are you arguing for botters to win over blizzard, because it reads like you believe in intellectual property rights?

@4secondpin lots of purchases through the ages have had rules attached to the products. From land, (covenants can be placed on land sales so that, for example, you can?t build around the lakefront.) to strategic technology (on sales to foreign governments)

Businesses fail all the time because consumers choose a different way, and take their money elsewhere.

Cds are going.. mp3s etc are in.. that whole distribution model has been turned on its head.

What music artist should have intellectual property?

If they don?t want it heard/sung along to/cut up and mashed up, don?t sing it and record it...
I look forward to the new model of life that file sharing is taking us to.

When did it become ok to copyright a song? a riff? a name? genetic sequences? grain types?

Haven?t things changed for the worse when the fun goes..

We are on the same side.. I mean we are all here for a reason..Hb Dh or GB etc.

I?m here because I?m lazy, and value my time more than virtual items/exp/gold.
I bought a computer to run programs to make my fun time easier, why should I be discriminated against because I have 3 kids and a job.. I still want to compete in game.. why cant I automate my actions?

If i buy a car, can i choose what mag wheels to put on it afterwards? can i choose to lower it? put in a stereo?

If i buy an iPhone can i choose my own operating system?

If i buy a song can i sample it and play the new version in public? for profit?

If i buy a game, have i purchased it? or just the right to use it?

So many questions with answers that have changed over the years.

We all know blizzard has changed the rules on us.. in every game.. they want to maximise profit, we want to maximise our fun time spent in front of our screens.

im happy to change the way a business runs by spending my money here

Nice to hear that, but i thought that after so many years Blizz will understand and make a one wise solution - will buy hole Buddy's team : ) rather than having these unjuctions and lawyer's fights...

Blizzard has the right to protect their property, but "cheating" on PC games is unavoidable. Eliminating 1 bot won’t remedy the issue... So while I think Blizzard has the right to preserve the integrity of their product, I think it’s wrong for them to pursue legal action against a single team.

I look forward to the new model of life that file sharing is taking us to.

Everything has been “Watered-down” because of file sharing. Companies have lost so much money; they churn out the same, relabeled product to protect profit. Movies, Music, Games, Cartoons, TV shows… there’s no diversity. Compare Retro Junk | Your Memory Machine to anything within the past 12 years.

People complain about how bad/unoriginal entertainment is today, but who can afford to express themselves through music if it’s being downloaded for free? What studio is going to finance a multimillion dollar production that isn’t guaranteed to be a block-buster popcorn flick? How can a company like Square-Enix create an immersive, single-player RPG reminiscent of past titles if people are going to share their work through a torrent? Now all they make are hall-way simulators.

Everything is overexposed and concepts muddied; but I digress. Blizzard has the means to create formulas/scripts to detect bots, and I feel the game they advertised definitely wasn’t the game they released, so I hope they lose the lawsuit.

Why is everyone so worried about getting their doubled session or even a discounted price on future purchases. Get your priorities straight. Anyways Grats Bossland !

blizz has no right to ban a software in germany for no reason. its automation nothing else, no hacking, no exploiting, so what. go blizz, **** yourself.

greetings
