Just because it says they've detected bot use on your account doesn't mean the detection method involved process scanning your machine.

Multiboxers have been getting hit with the same bans for doing BGs that buddies are getting hit with. That leads me to believe the detection method involves some combination of things on the server side which may or may not include authentication.

Blizzard does not scan the compotor they use the webcam to see you then they scan the drivers license registery to get your name, then they ban you from the intornot 4 evor.

Law > TOS, you can agree that it is ok for blizzard to rape your mother but it would still be illegal by the law, so laws is always before tos, duno but murka but i live in EU murka might have a stonger tod > law, but nut in Schweden, here law is always > tos, so blizard migth scan the compotor in some countries but not in all, ofc they could do it without people knowning and claim that botting is wrong? but in sweden either selling gold or bot is against the law.

It doesn't show up as HB if you rename it. Right click and rename to Microsoft Word, then check your process list

What Blizzard can scan, and does frequently, is the sky.....as endless bot-trains on their repetitive loops drone on for hours and hours unattended. You know, after being detected.....errr.....reported by other human-played characters.

to answer the OP's original question

No, renaming the exe doesn't do anything in regards to avoiding being banned / detected

we are not detected, if they changed something server side to trip our code, our servers kill all sessions immediately.
