This will be an overall "quick reference" list of things to help you get Demonbuddy working, and working well.
Optimization:
First off will be your network. Make sure to add Demonbuddy.exe to all exceptions lists, including antivirus and firewalls. This is very important because the faster your computer lets Demonbuddy make requests for paths, the faster it will get responses on where to go.
Next, every plugin you want to use has to have its own folder! All of them. If all the thread provides is a .cs file, then make a folder with the exact same name and then place that .cs file into it.
Visual settings will matter! Put all possible settings to low! Then, if you can at all, DO NOT limit the fps of Diablo 3. Demonbuddy will require lots of frames to do what it needs to do quickly. I had mine limited to 30 fps and it would still slow down when there were lots of mobs around. I let it get up to 70 fps Foreground and it's running great. If you can, put D3 in windowed mode, on the lowest resolution, and make it as small as possible.
So do not limit the Foreground or Background fps in the Diablo video settings. Helps a lot. If you are running multiple bots you may want to throttle the FPS, but it will depend on the system and # of bots.
A plugin you should get is here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...er-restarts-if-your-character-gets-stuck.html
This will help immensely until Demonbuddy stops trying to open the same chest for hours on end, even though it's already open. The same goes for if it isn't getting a response from the navigation server.
Another for when the bot is more stable: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...4592-plugin-breaktaker-takes-breaks-orly.html
It will help keep you seeming like a real person while botting. Everone takes breaks of some sort.
And another, if you got lots or rares: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...206-plugin-identified-unidentified-stuff.html
Installation and Starting:
Installing and using Demonbuddy is very simple.
Once you have downloaded the latest version from here ( http://updates.buddywing.com/GetNewest?filter=Demonbuddy ), you will just unzip it somewhere onto your computer. The desktop is probably the most convenient spot.
After that, you can install whatever plugins you want into the /demonbuddy/plugins/ folder.
Next, if you are using Vista or Windows 7, right click on Demonbuddy.exe. Click properties, and go into the Compatibility tab. Put a checkmark in the box next to "Run as Administrator", and hit "Ok".
Note: All plugins must be in their own folder! For example: Unstucker plugin is actually the file Unstucker.cs. This file must go into the folder like this: /demonbuddy/Plugins/Unstucker/Unstucker.cs
So start up Diablo 3, and log into your account. Get to the character you would like to bot.
Now start Demonbuddy and input the key you should have received via email after purchase. (If you did not get it you can create an account on this website ( Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal ) which lists all active sessions you are using, as well as all keys you have available to you.)
The click Login. ( If Demonbuddy crashes here, try it again, but log all the way into your character, to where you can move around on him/her)
If you have plugins, you can put a checkmark next to them in the Plugins tab to activate them.
In the first tab click "Load Profile" and browse to the profile you'd like to use on your computer.
Then just hit start.
Note: If the thread for your profile tells you to change quest, go into the game, and/or go to a checkpoint do it. This is just a basic view of what at least needs to be done.
Combat Setup:
When I press start it asks me select a routine Belpeghor all in one or generic.. what should I do??
Choose Generic for now. Belpeghor is more defined, and there is no ability to set what skills to use, and when.
When I press "settings" nothing happens.
Press start on the bot, then press Stop. Now the settings button will work.
You can then choose when to use the skills you have set on your character.
Set your main Resource Spender to Off Cooldown
Set your AOE to 3-4 Enemies Around You.
If you are a DH, set your pet (ferrets?) to every 60 seconds
If you have a heal, they have a "Low HP" option. It goes by 1 as being 1%, 10 as being 10% hp. Not .1 being 10%.
We actually did a fairly good job on the Generic Class, just nobody knows how to get to the settings.
On a side note can I rename the exe file for safety to something else?
Not necessary. Demonbuddy is safe as is. And that might also stop the auto-update feature of Demonbuddy from working correctly.
So just leave it as Demonbuddy.exe

Updating:
Okay, so not every update for Demonbuddy may be the best. A few have introduced new crash issues, and other new Pathing Lag.
What I suggest is when there is a new update available, head to where you installed DB on your computer.
Right click the DB folder, and click send to, then .zip compressed folder. That way you have a backup of a "working" copy of DB in case the update is even worse on your system.
Now allow Demonbuddy to update. Let it go for a while, see if it has the same issues as the last version. This includes restarting it a few times if you had problems with startup crashes on the previous version.
If it's better than the last, make a new .zip of the current DB install.
If it's shit, then delete the folder and unzip from the working copy

This will help those who don't want to go clicking through urls to find the most recent .zip on the forums every update.
And you won't have to copy over all your plugins/routines every time either.
On a side note: I personally take the above mentioned zip file, add on the relevant version number, and toss it into a folder on my desktop. That way if stuff keeps getting worse as I go, I can just go in there and bring back a version that had "less" problems :/
Due to this tho, I do have about 1gig of HD taken up just by old Honorbuddy alone. Not like it really matters though. I got 999 more to spare

If you have anything you'd like added please reply here in the thread.
I'll sort the list out better as Demonbuddy, and this post, get updated.
Thanks for your time,
Panda.
