Buy a SSD.

Just installed my new 120gb SSD and not only is my computer on steroids now but my GPH jumped by 150-200k on each bot. I was only getting ~300k with ~250% before the upgrade, now im getting pretty much exactly 500k on all three bots with "identical" (+-20%) gold find.

SSD's are very cheap now (compared to a year or two ago). Buying one will boost your GPH so much that you'll get back the expense within a day or two.

its not BS it's the truth.. SSD's do increase you gph by a lot because of shorter load times, which will save you like 5 seconds every run..

^ I LOLed hard!! :)))

Best crap thread ever!

lol yeah... its bs lol. My computer doesn't stutter at all. Adding a SSD isn't going to improve something that's not lacking to begin with.

Theoretically it will increase your GPH, but I can assure you all it's not going to pay itself off.

I have a 6.0Gb/s 64MB cache 7200RPM HD and barely notice loading screens at all, it basically just flashes for a split second.

Yep. regular old harddrive as well and barely notice loading screens.... The savings i'd achieve from a SSD isn't enough to be considerable

SSDs: overpriced and overrated. but i will gladly buy one in five years once they come down to a price worth my time

Well to be fair. they are down almost to the average price of harddrives. $100 ish. i've seen them for like 70 ish. You wont get too much lower than that for a harddrive. maybe $50 for one that's on sale.

Considering Solid States Drives are now cheap as dirt where you can pick one up for literally 1$ per gigabyte now everyone should have two.

I use #1 SSD for my operating system using a small 60Gig, The #2 SSD is for Gaming, and other programs i wish to have a fast load time.

Anyone who says you dont see any load diffrence between SSD and HDD mechanical have their head up their asses and are to fucking cheap, SSD is a HUGE improvement and WILL increase your GPH. But it also depends on much more then just a fast Harddrive to increase GPH.

CPU Speed, Fast SSD, Good Clock'ed Ram, Good Graphics Card (a 9800GT is not a good Card. I'm talking like GTX460+ anything with at least 300 Streaming Processors.)

For a Cheap 60gig SSD: OCZ VTX3-25SAT3-60G Vertex 3 Solid State Drive - 60GB, 2.5, SATA III, 6Gbps at TigerDirect.com - $75.19

Yes and that is because you don't understand basic things like ms in mechanical disks compared to SSD's.

And you don't understand basic Windows features like super-fetching and memory ca$hing....Pfff

Tigerdirect had a sale on their 120gb OCZ ssd's for about $80 the other day, and a lot of other places are having the same sales. I wouldn't buy a 60gb for only 5 bucks less

I've seen 120's for around $80 as well lately.

This post is true. 'Cause having a SSD will help to reduce the loading times which in fact will increase the run numbers. If you guys are botting at Sarkoth, this will definitely help due to the probability that a cellar pops up is around 50%~60%(TP to town, leaving game, joining game and map change do take loading times, SSD is designed to load faster). So do some maths and you'll get the result.

I bought a 120gig corsair force 3 ssd drive. Best improvement for my computer in a long time. The read/write speeds are approx 10x a regular (give you probably wont see that much). In d3 my load windows are nonexistant. There are other aspects you notice it. Installs are much faster. My computer boot time is 22sec. (2yr old laptop). I also play Rift and had incredibly long load times in that game. That is where i noticed the biggest impact. Its probably not going to pay itself off. But it gives you one of the most noticible upgrades if your running a old style HD. I picked one of these up on sale from newegg for 120$.
