Time to farm for keys! (...And time to stop converting them to machines)

An important change for 2.3 to our keyfarming...

  • Keywardens now drop Infernal Machines instead of keys; existing keys will be converted into their corresponding machine types upon login
  • Infernal machines only drop for players who are in the same area
  • Infernal Machine crafting recipes have been removed from the game

If this stays, it will be much like the original ROS patch where all of your crafting materials were converted up.

Have a hellfire amulet on your list of things to get? Might be time to stack up a bunch of keys before the official patch drops. We all know there will be some downtime on profiles after the patch drops, stockpiling might be a good idea just in case.

There are several other itemization changes coming as well that you should look into on the PTR patch changes.

-Now rolls with a guaranteed socket

FUCK BLIZZARD!!!!! haha....I just made 250 amy's for all my characters which 1% of them was useful :P
 
I've stock piled about 300 keysets across my bots, not sure how useful they'll be seeing as I'll mainly be starting fresh with Season 4

i've about 1000 of each keys because of the keyBot dev :) i will update it before 2.3, and after too

How long did you take to get 1000 keys? and which character? and setting?
im using trinity 2.9.1. omg.. 1000 keys!! nice nice!!

can't wiat for Vinci also! :) !!

Took me 3-4 days to get 250 hellfire amulets for my barb..
 
got myself arounnd 900 keys total in ~24hrs with my WW barb. But as mentioned above, dont know how usefull they'll be when I only play Season lol
 
Ghostlord can u link the profile that you are using? And tell me the settings your using aswell?

lol 1.6 minute spent per key farmed

I bet your WW barb get 80 lph and 100 billion xph too.
 
well, funny thing is. those are the stats in the Inferno tab. So dont blame the messenger :)
26hrs 34mins total 903 keys and had roughly ~50 already in stash. Those stats are not quite accurate, as sometimes it says 100% keywardens found but it killed 50 out of ~54/55
Also there is a bug in the acts it used or can't use, so theres really nothing accurate about these numbers.

Take note, that I am using an older version of DB and questools. Right now Im on build #404 (most stable as far as I know)

Using a non-ancient Convention of Elements, still searching for the ancient !
and the other ring at the moment is a ancient Unity, looking for a better ring atm. (any suggestions ?)

Gogok of Swiftness
Bane of the Trapped

There are different kind of WW builds, maybe check out diablofans dot com for some nice builds.

I am running with a barb with slightly better gear(all ancient + anc BK weapons, wreath gem instead for movespeed over gogok CDR) I am averaging 14 KPH according to inferno tab on T6 so far. I slice through t6 junk like candy. I just started again literally today, and starting at like 3pm EST I went from 85 keys total(mind you, like 29 were a4 key and 1-2 of the others) now at 1050pm I am sitting at 235 total keys

a1: 58
a2: 59
a3: 58
a4: 60

So essentially ive gained +58 of each a1-3 key in those hours, think my bot was even paused for an hour at one point.
