Ok so i rarely post on this forums but this issue has really pissed me off for a long time now:(Note this is all pvp wise, bg buddy)I stopped botting a while back when i started noticing some extremely poor behavior with the bot, running into gates for 1:30 minutes before the fight, some really stupid paths, like for example going in continuosly to bosses in A.V and getting killed solo, also running out in mid fights and just standing there like a retard. I mean devs please, what the hell is going on? Its basically a big arrow on top of us saying "hey guys im a bot, didnt even try to hide it, just report me and shit", this was months ago, and i tought with the new release after 5.3 maybe, just MAYBE the devs would address this problem and fix it, but i guessed wrong, the first things i saw when i tried the newest version was an even worse behavior on the bot. And i know it isnt just me, ive investigated many other posts, and see many other bots in bgs do the same retarded moves, its not about the money either, cause im already used to buying things with awfull service, i just want to know what the hell are u guys thinking?
 
their first thoughts aren't to screw you. The Devs have many many things on their agenda. BGBuddy is just farther down the list than other things.

if you would like to help rewrite the code then go hang out on the Developers Forum. go learn to code. delve deep into what makes the bot and realize how complex it is. all help is welcome. wouldn't you like to be the one who 'fixes' the bgbuddy?

the negativity and anger is awesome when you are a teenager, but some people need to learn how to slow down and enjoy life. this bot is so versatile and all the code is open, so change and shape it how you would like.
 
I've noticed the same things in dungeons, BGs and herb gathering. The bot is getting progressively more stupid it seems.

It used to work great, no issues at all. Leveled several characters with dungeonbuddy with no problems. Now, however, you have to do so much to keep the bot from getting stuck/running away from the party/trying to infinitely use mage tables/endless amounts of other bullshit that it isn't botting at all. It's like standing behind the worst world of warcraft player in history and watching him ruin everything.

I've also noticed that it now skips 60%+ of herb nodes. It will just fly right over top of them and ignore them.

I think Blizzard has just done enough to prevent the bots from being usable that it has prevented the obviously limited coding abilities of the honorbuddy devs from making a usable version of this pile.

Also, I'd like to note that the last update to the honorbuddy beta completely broke it. It does nothing in any bot mode, with any character, in any situation.

Needless to say - I have several 1 month keys that will not be getting ruined ever again.
 
i think we all noticed all things metioned here ... but nobody forces us to buy/use it ... some ppl (like me) use it only for simple gathering plants/ores and a good small profile will permit a lot if used few hours a day ... rest i dont trust him, been banned many times , lost my main 6 years account a year ago ....
 
No one said anything about being forced to buy it.. It was a product with great value. Key word - was.

I'm simply saying that the bot's quality has declined quite a lot.

And who are you to judge their skill?

Ever thought of another missing key ingredient, which is really rare these days, called time?
 
The bot is getting progressively worse, not better. "Time" spent developing it should have the exact opposite effect as what is happening.
 
it may be a dumb question, but what is the point in running BG bots?
Honor points are worthless once you get fulll iLvL 476 gear.
If it is for the conquest points, you might aswell just do a couple arenas.
I dual botted arenas for some time, and I won alot of matches.
much more efficient. And much more safe imo. Depending on how you do it.
When it comes to getting Honor points. the best thing is actually to do Heroic dungeons(Dungeonbuddy or Tyrel) and convert the justice you get(120 per boss) into Honor Points.
It goes alot faster, it is safer i'd say. and it is easier for the devs to code.
and you are in actual use for other players, since you do something good instead of running into a damn wall or running random paths xD

That would be true for normal software.
But since this is software that depends on a third party, it is not true.

If the time spent on maintaining and patching the software to make it work as good as before exceeds the time given, it gets worse.
