Thinking to start a bot farm now? worth it?

Too many botters and not enough players imo. with the price of gold going down and with it items, i would wait till after the next big ban wave

What chars do u run? I currently have 2 copys of d3. my main and a toon. Ill prob buy like 4-5 more copies on black friday since i think theyre gna be like half price.

I was thinking of running 4 or 5 barbarian bots? Or maybe Monks work better? Havent made up my mind yet. Also what script do u use? A3?

I run 5 barbarians, honestly have never made a monk. I always read they were more expensive to gear up, but that was awhile ago, and prices could've dropped by now. I'm sure they're just as good. Just chose whichever class you are more familiar with I guess.

I run the act 3 BigRed 1.3.6 with no underbridge. I also swapped out cursedtower to fix the wait timer on Cydaea.
 
no not worth it to start anymore. there's no more profit to be had
 
dropped another 4 cents LOL. everyones in black ops 2, halo 4, Wii U, or just anything besides d3. good luck recouping your investment even in a month. the gold mine is over folks. time to get a real job. i just put in some apps today, hopefully im qualified for mcdonalds

i already have an extra account.. all i need to bot it is DB.. which is like what 25euros?? if ur telling me i cant make back the 25 euros cause the game is dead i wont believe you.. lol

Game is dead , better piss off or lose ur money from being banned. U wont make ur money back if u start now.
 
youll make SOME money, but youll probably make the most money once the pvp patch comes out
 
with the hot discussion about those stupid public leecher bots i wouldnt step into d3 botting right now.. letz see what blizz is doing, and on what base they will react. With a bit of luck they will focus the warden on the public leecher bot itself. its very hard to detect a following bot based on its movement pattern and stuff, but who knows..

id jump in after the frist banweave with a high risk or simply never ^^ WoW with the SoR accs does have a far better risk/reward ratio right now and is also less time consuming.

If u want to bot d3, id go for WW Barbs(Start with S&B if u dont have some gold) or Monks
 
Wow this thread is definately drawing me back from getting into botting, I was about to purchase the bot and another copy of D3 with the money I got off RMAH to PayPal but now I'm having second thoughts.
 
Right now, it's definitely not a smart idea to get into botting d3.

Agree just wait for a week or two. It's not like OP actually need this for income so just wait for sometime, maybe enter after the next ban wave?

I don't think it's hard so Bliz to detect it's just that they chose not to use invasive detection method to prevent controversy - despite we had already agreed bliz to do so.
 
yea this is a touchy topic.. gold is litterally dropping by the second lmao.. its like .38 a m on RMAH
 
how about if im just gonna bot my 2nd account for pure gain for personal use ?? gold and items. not really caring about making real USD just extra gold.. is it worth it then?
 
why risk both your accounts for personal use?
if you value the effort you've put into your characters, and are desperate for extra gold & items, just buy gold/items from RMAH.
