Hey Guys,

I thought some people who are thinking about appealing ban's might be interested in the below information I've found regarding blizzards policies on suspension & banning.

Even according to their own policies they should give you a warning, or suspension before a perm ban, it might be worth while for people to ask for the ban to be changed to a suspension... worst case scenario, they say no, but a heap of people have sent in e-mails and caused a huge increase in their resourcing costs, they would then link bans with higher costs for them and might scale back a bit :P

Thank you for this. It could def be helpfull if they refuse to unbanned me after my first e-mail. Did you got banned too or just linking to help people ?

i plan on using this as leverage to get my account unbanned.. Where was my warning/suspension.. Jumped right to a perma ban.

Anyone have any updates?

When submitting an email to blizz should I just request a suspension based on the terms? Or, should I go about it another way? Anyone have any successes that can give advice to wording a document appropriately?

I'd like to know this myself..

"up to and including account closure".

It might work, but I doubt it, they specifically said close to when it was released there was zero tolerance for botting.

can we do appealing 'coz i spend a lot of money and time for my account im just using DB for leveling only and not selling in AH not more that a month, can we back our account????

This is all up to Blizzard...you have the freedom to appeal...but as of right now..thousands of us banned are under Blizzard's mercy...

E-mailed them a long statement stating my support in using my own cash for the RMAH and had zero involvement with gold selling on the RMAH (which I told them to look up), and 40-50 mins later they replied with basically a copy+pasted message from another person's thread stating the exact same thing except country of origin.

So pretty much umm...I'm uninstalling D3 and forgetting my hopes of getting anything back.

R.I.P.

I got banned as well, even on an account I didn't bot with (did use a macro on my gaming keyboard that pressed 1,2,3 while I held the Macro key down). I'm actually rather annoyed at that. I can understand the other two accounts as I actually botted on them and can accept that, but my main one, which I didn't I'm pissed at.

They state that Account Ban's are rare and usually only done after a final warning. Banning 7,000 accounts on one day isn't very rare in my eye's. Personally I think if enough people complained and continued to submit tickets, raised issues in their forums & other forums, they would eventually give into the people who kept pestering them, and only give out a "final warning". probably way too much effort for people to do, but for me its a matter of principle with the account I didnt bot with being banned and not getting a warning at all.

If it was just the 2 accounts I botted on, Id take it gracefully and say "such is life I knew the risks" but being banned on an account that wasn't botted on I'm going to keep being a pain, and keep the pressure on until I get it unbanned.

Blizz will prob play on the words by saying we were an extreme case and no warning was necessery since they Usually give warning not always :(
