Thinking about the future.

After reading some of the posts about the lifetime key change its obvious that Honorbuddy is having some trouble and there is a possibility that it may go away at some time in the future. Now the HB team is in a court battle and we all hope that the courts rule in their favor but if they do not what do you all think the best case scenario for the bot is? I would like to see them close gracefully, this is all speculation, and give the code base to another development community. This community could be the same developers but they are going to be under new names. This new community would all be behind VPN's or some kind of anonymous software and would sell the bot using bitcoins. This kind of setup would allow the company to sell the bot and shield the bot makers from potential lawsuits. Look at what happened in the case of SlySoft and their software AnyDVD. They got sued and had to shutdown but the software was given to a dedicated community of developers, some of who worked for slysoft before the lawsuite, and they released the software under a new name and business went back to normal. The same thing could happen hear and new security could be implemented on the developer side which would allow them to own blizzard once and for all. I wish HB all the best and hopefully they have success in the courts but if not they could easily carry on with just a change in how they do things on the internet. Like I mentioned before I would like to know what some of you think and what you are wishing to see happen.

The way I see, it's Bossland & Co that showed their true colors. And I'm not even on the money-grabbing-buttholes-hypetrain, I'm talking about their respect and how they treat/communicate with their consumers.
And it's not just €25 for most. I have a single session Honorbuddy key, with additions worth roughly €220. I was never mad when the bot straight up got detected, shit happens. But making me pay, again, to get access to my buddystore content and a detected bot is not okay, when a legal binding contract was already in play.

Whenever you come across a cheater in any game, you think/call him a loser and move on. Very rarely there's a contract or money transactions involved. Feeling cheated =/= being cheated.

Getting rekt when you lose a lawsuit, so you have to pay money? So they should shut down, close this site, stop the bot, and then you would be satisfied? Do you and the rest of the half brains here realize that your little keys would be useless anyways if that happened? On which forums would you cry then? You would probably start a butthurt forum with the rest of the butthurt army just to whine.

Its become apparent that the real problem Bossland and crew faced was the way to communicate their needs and I see that as the real issue here.

I guarantee if he was able to sit us all down in his boardroom and verbally express himself and his position we would all clearly see his need to do this and most of us would forgive and resub and continue supporting him.

But written words don't always capture a persons real intent accurately or timely.

I was one of the first that were disappointed and regretfully posted about that, but after communicating on the Legendary Discord with Bossland I was able to clearly see his position and even got a feel for his personality slightly and know he was backed into a corner and had to do this.

I remember signing up for this bot a few years back and wondering how the hell do they make a living with a one time fee for lifetime ..even the routines and profiles were free!

Just think about the amount of time and effort guys like Echotiger and Zinner put into the bot and that's just to name a few...there are a lot of people behind the scenes.

Ugh, I really didn't want to get involved because I've already subbed but the people tossing out "They only gave us 24 hours notice! AMG!" are failing to add in that they didn't cancel all the keys until well after the 24 hour warning period was up. If you're going to complain, go for it, but don't harp on stuff that is no longer relevant.

They knew they needed the money, month ago, you can guess what a law suit costs, they were stupid enough to be sued in the first place, never treated their customers well, as shown here, and except for making gold with throwaway-accounts in the hundreds, its not usable anymore for 90% of the private users, lets face it.

Im not saying its not possible or affordable anymore, I spend ALOT on honorbuddy products in the past. Im talking about the fact that 90% of private users get banned on a regular basis and if you want to enjoy the game, without starting over every MAXIMUM of 6 month or with a shitload of luck maybe longer, then it is what I said.

Its not about 25 bucks. Its about the fact they just decided, oh hey fuck you. Were gonna take away your product and keep your money. For thousands of people. I wouldn't even care if they had stopped supporting future versions for lifetime keys, at least I'd have a version of Honorbuddy that I paid for. But we didn't even get that, and whats to say the next time they need cash to stay afloat because, lets face it, they are loosing the lawsuits. They don't just expire everyone's keys again? Not a damn thing. If there was a solid alternative I'd use that. But until then, I keep using this.

Utterly dissapointed in the way this company has gone. Rebornbuddy is a jacked up mess. Honorbuddy you either have to be a competent coder to make your own profiles, plugins, and cc or pay for everything.

maybe you missed the announcement that stated your key is still usable for the version of hb available when you purchased your key. your key still works for hb2, which was the current version available when you purchased your key.

now you can go to bed happy.
