Theory: Character itself has it's own built in Drop/Luck rate?

If its so RNG why are there 500 zunimassa vision for every ik chest?

You trusted blizzard making diablo3 and releasing this shit and you still keep trusting that its "RNG" just because they say it is.
When asked about people's critics (read EU amazon reviews for example) they look away and say "people like the game" just because theres 1% threads of people saying they love the game.
They say they fight botters and they just do a banwave every few months like if they worked hard

Seriously stop believing all they say

I most certainly do. FACT implies you have tested out Blizzards random number generator and can prove that it is properly functioning. I doubt Blizzard has properly tested it, so unless you have access to their code (please share it if you do), then I don't think you tested it either.

Making assumptions on how random number generators work in GENERAL, has no bearing on how it works in Diablo, nor on if there are other bugs affecting their loot drops.

Find a known properly functioning psuedorandom number generator and run the test I outlined above and share your results. The reason i say pseudorandom is that no computer generated random number generator is truly random. They all rely on seeds and depending on how you seed it, there will be impacts on the results.
thanks for the lesson on pseudo random einstein.

these threads are so stupid, theres no way anybody will ever be able to collect and analyze enough data to determine any kind of pattern in loot drops or any way to influence the seed so whats the point? 1 bot getting worse loot than the next bot is not some giant conspiracy theory to control ah drops
or because they personally do not like your character
or because you named your character wrong
or because you leveled it wrong
or because you used the wrong skill to kill a mob
or because it took you too long to kill a mob
or because of any other retarded theories you can come up with. do you know what it IS though? and im sure you know whats coming, yes its RANDOM.

if you and everyone else that has these dumb thoughts in their head want to waste their time thinking they can influence drops or theres a big conspiracy regarding loot then go ahead and waste your time.

its not a matter of "believing all they say" do you realise how stupid it sounds for them to purposely single out specific people to not allow them to get good items, while purposely singling out others to allow them to always get good items? where is the sense in that? seriously

Wow, lots of replies. Sorry if I riled anyone up. I didn't know there were a crap ton of threads that were theory based. But This from user: miracle is what I mean. I've found 10 sledges of whatever in the course of 2 days, a shit ton of gladiator gauntlets, 5 stormshields and a number of other worthless legendaries.

My theory was that for every 50 shit types of legendaries, only a few sought out legendaries drop - (IK Chest, Ice Climbers, you know, shit like this)

I'm not a noob botter. I do understand the concept of RNG and randomized drop, but I can attest to the fact that some legendaries do drop more often than others. It is not completely RNG, and all sets/legendaris do not have the SAME drop rate.)

Thanks for all the inputs!

There was a thread posted on battle.net forums where someone posted the # of each legendary he found over the course of i forget how long, but a majority of the lower quality legendaries did end up dropping more often for HIM, which mainly could just be bad RNG, but I do agree I find 5 Warmonger swords to ANY 1 good legendary or set item. Wish Giles had an option to blacklist certain legendaries so it wouldn't keep them :) than I would never know it found the garbage and not even worry about it.

Does DB log which servers the bot plays on? I only ask, because it could be that the blizz server it plays on is somehow influenced by your account. That is where the seed problems in the RNG lie most likely (if there are problems with it). I used to think the whole "loot server" stuff was BS, until I started talking to a friend that sells runs on another forum with a "guild" of other people. They logged all of their runs, and kept track of how many legendaries dropped for each one. He was telling me that after 10,000+ recorded runs, they had found some definite patterns in the servers (some that have been listed publicly online, but also some that went against a lot of the public info).

I do not know how true this is, nor do I know which servers are supposedly the "confirmed loot servers", as they are not allowed to release it to anyone...but, following his advice on a few of my guesses as to what they could be, I noticed an increase in drops when playing manually. Could all just be random luck, but this is Blizzard. It could also be an error in programming, or even deliberate. Make it so, from time to time, you will get a server where loot falls from the sky and that pushes you on to play more to try to repeat it, and some people get them more than others, so their luck makes their friends think that if they just play a bit more eventually they can have the luck of their friends.

cant tell if youre trolling or legitimately dumb... not every item has the same drop chance, which is why you see the useless (common) ones more often -______________________________________________________-

RNG DOES NOT MEAN that everything has an equal chance of dropping... it is random but some items have a higher drop rate... how hard is that to UNDERSTAND?

idk but i think its just has to do with luck and the paragon lvl...

First let me start by saying that tossing out insults in all your replies doesn't grant your responses any extra validity. In fact, most people that respond with such insults know their argument is weak and are just trying to deflect.

In any case, the only thing you got right is that no one (other than Blizzard) can collect the proper data to analyze and determine what is really happening.

With that being said, stop all the RNG is RNG nonesense because without the above mentioned data saying RNG is RNG is just like saying "it is what it is" (i.e. it's meaningless).

Believe what you will but I had one bot that would find approximately 30-40 legendaries a week. My other bot (comparable equipment, paragon level) would find 1 per week. This happened for 4 weeks straight till the hurricane hit and I got flooded and lost my botting computer.

You can call that luck/streaks/RNG if you like, but I see it as some sort of bug in the loot system.
