Theory: Areas only drop certain legendarys.

I knew a guy who worked on some of the original poker websites back in the day and from what he told me the amount of effort required to come up with randomness that wont show patterns is insane. You cant just Math.Random(100) and call it good. Take random.org for example - they seed based on atmospheric noise. There are plenty of papers on the subject. How its seeded is really important and could account for streaks that players notice.

I'll let the quote speak for itself, it should be pretty obvious. There are many ways of calling people idiots and you used one of them. You're excessive used of short fiery sentences would imply that it is in fact yourself that is having a tough time keeping emotions out of this "debate". You might want to check into anger management yourself since you have somehow convinced yourself that I am writing angrily yet nowhere is this really visible. If anything I have tried to go back to the subject at hand and you incite further confrontation. Anyway, as I stated before people are free to believe whatever they want, however, if you do not want input on your beliefs then do not write them on a public forum.

On topic:
I think most can agree that there is difficulty in achieving true randomness within programming, however the question was whether or not specific legendary drops were tied to specific locations (or broader, acts) and this should be rather easy to prove or disprove if someone (or groups) were to run a profile in the same spot until every legendary in existence (that drops from mobs) has dropped. This obviously would take time and until such a time as someone wants to partake in this experiment and provide useful documentation the discussion is scuttlebutt at best.

In Campaign Mode, Manglemaw now only drops loot and gives XP before the player progresses to the Chancellor's Tomb quest

I haven't seen one single wizard with frostburns yet, let alone frostburns and a new witching hour. Yet I've looted about 4 sets of blackthorns. I've gotta say there is weighted items, at least.

First of you're not on topic, since the topic being discussed initially was area based drops. Secondly, Blackthornes is one of the sets which isn't Torment 1 specific which should lead any attentive player to the conclusion that it is easier to obtain, not only since it drops in sub T1 difficulties but because T1 specific drops are more than likely tied to their own reduced drop chance since they are, by some, considered the endgame target in terms of gearing.

As for RNG being RNG, you do realize that every single RNG based drop system still has different drop chances to different tiers (magic/rare/legendary) so it wouldn't be a stretch that the legendary category itself is tiered internally.

I agree with the statement that some items drop more than others, I merely stated that it was not on topic. As for ego boost I am unsure how that relates to me as I respond rather casually to whomever posted in this thread whenever I received a notification email. So we are back to you projecting your own motives onto me and not really reading anything into what I am actually doing. Anyway the topic presented has pretty much been debated to death and I will remove the automated subscription to the thread per your request. Just think before you post in the future, the world is not out to get you.

Since i switched to act 4 bounty profile, i do find different legendaries. I think it has more to do with some legendaries being less rare. But i do have had the same experience so far. Nothing to call proof though.
