while i'm sure 1 or 2 people from blizzard are paying this site visits every now and then... right now is most definitely not the time. bullcrap, really. lol.
Why do they need 9001 NSA employees playing WoW? To monitor chat? Really?

Who would even care if Blizz is monitoring the site right now? It's not like they could gather any useful information about the bot right now anyways.
You guys are too paranoid. You seem to think that blizz does things to curb botting instead of fixing their game and lessening the amount of support they need to do.
I firmly believe that if Blizz wanted to ban all botters, they could do it easily. They don't need to learn anything from these forums besides finding exploits they may want to close up in game.

Totally agree, It's all a money game, Look at the size of our community, how many of you are not playing properly because of the bot being down? Think logically, we all pay for average 3-5 accounts, and that is quite a lot of money being taken from us each month to blizzard, and yeah, we get banned from time to time but think logically, they're making more money, i've have many accounts and made so much profit and never been banned, so, if they're monitoring us, they're not doing a good job, and they can't do anything about it.

You think there is no one blizzard hired, to download this bot and scavenge it for data and information?
And the reason they dont ban all botters, is because they need legit reasons and hard proof, no company that makes product just cut off people from it without a reason.
and with its 8 million or so subs, its hard to keep track on every single one..since Warden is not the best feat of engineering.
I think people assign too much importance to HB and bots in general. Blizzard's focus right now is fixing the bugs in the latest release. They wont even care about bots until things are stable and working.
I also agree that they could ban all botters at any time. The ones they choose to deal with are typically the ones who turn on the neon sign that says "hey look at me...i'm botting"
People are too paranoid and just need to relax and bot smart.

Haha, No, I have seen games, which is just the exact same bot engineer as honorbuddy, and when they want they can ban them, it's simple as that, there are always triggers, always, but it's all about money, like reality, there is always war, because it generates money, for weapons, resources, there is never a cut off point. Because it stops the intake of money, main reason most people get a single ban, and no a full ip ban these days, they know they will return and generate more money into the system.

Exactly, their main priority is the game, updates and getting it all sorted for WoD on time, if there is delays, it costs money, like everything else, they don't care about us, only if it something which gets too obvious in game and you're reported for it, like you say, but they care more about the upkeep of the game and the obvious money being generated, as without us there is no community or game.

First off, I didn't say that having a copy of the bot would be bad for Blizz, I said scavenging these forums is next to worthless for them, especially right now.
And no, they don't need legit reasons to ban their users, nor do they need hard proof. Their reasons are very clear as to why they don't ban botters. As Jordans said, it's all a money game.
Who says they'd even need Warden to ban botters? They could easily throw something in that destroys the HB's team ability to figure out why the bot is getting caught. Just look at Rift as an example. They were able to ban every botter out there and the HB team could never figure out how they were getting caught.

I can understand that it's a money game for Blizzard in too many ways to even explain in one post. But what it comes down to is they probably could ban a lot more botters than they do; but they keep a lot of us going because we don't always ruin the economy in game and we bring cash flow into it aswell as a higher playerbase(which makes them look good), as well as cash into their pockets(I'm sure they like that too). That's why they ban people here and there.. to make it seem like "Hey we are banning bots.." so the players in the community don't always complain about how many botters are in game. When in reality they plan on keeping us around for their own use of money. Also who's to say they don't just ban people that bot on multiple accounts(4-5 or more); or people that suicide bot 24/7 7 days a week, because they know that people that bot like that are just going to buy another account if one gets banned(or multiple). More money for them.

Have you forgotten famous past lawsuits? They can't ban all botters, they can only detect obvious patterns nothing else.

Exactly, Rift, is a prime example, there is always limitations to a bot coding, and Blizzard and making millions, I'm sure if they wanted, they could have a coder, create something just for them, which could never be walked around, but think of the reality behind that, stops most of the community playing because you find it boring, you find it hard, and can't even dps a single raid, things what have been around for years...

You're delusional if you think they couldn't ban all the botters. It's the same that they could turn their servers off anytime they want. There's nothing out there that says they have to continue to provide you service. They can cut that service off at anytime. Of course, they may have to provide refunds at a prorated rate, but they can do anything they want at anytime with their own software.

ummm...that is not what the lawsuits "said"
The activities that got Blizzard into trouble were the fact that they were scanning user computers indiscriminately to detect possible TOS violations. The issue is that the methods they were using are considered spyware.
Their troubles actually began because some anti-virus programs detected what they were doing and classified them as spyware. If you recall, for a period of time, Blizzard was advising people to make WOW an exception for scanning and monitoring. They even asked the antivirus makers to exclude them from scanning. They refused., This became public and people started investigating what WoW/Warden were up to.
I don't even recall if there was ever a judgement against them. They agreed to cease their intrusive practices as part of a settlement. There is nothing that governs how they detect bots. It only says they cannot indiscriminately scan user computers and data.

You're crazy my friend, to give you a little opener on how far this game has changed, and how much the game is all about money, I sell gold to people very cheap who need it for the game, because I have been around for a few years, and can make it easily on the AH or for giving a nice boost on heroic, couple year ago, if you was caught was a simple ban, good bye! Now, I received a email and a mail in game saying 'We noticed you sold gold, please becareful who you deal with as there are a lot of scammers who ask for your details and can hack into your game'.
Blizzard will never shut down all bots, because it's money, as three people have clearly stated in the last 10 minutes. They ban people, because you've been reported from other users and caught, they can't let you get away simple reasons, yet, you return with a new account and they allow it.
The lawsuit is nothing to do with this, it's due to invading your computer looking for ToS Breakers. Seriously clear your facts up, although it's nice having a little debate while you all wait for the bot to be able to play your characters again.
