The One CC!
The One CC - One CC to rule them all
As some of you may be aware I've been promising something big, some amazing, something extraordinary. Well you'll have to wait for that in another release. But for now I present you The One CC. One CC to rule them all
As you might be aware I've released a few CCs over the last couple of months, and also as some of you are aware my over all goal is to release a CC for every class.
Anyway, during a conversation with Ski - one of our very own Warlock CC developers - I mentioned I was working on a new CC template core. As is always with developers talking creative juices flow and ideas bounce. Ski said to me, wouldn't it be great if we could make one CC usable for every class. I said it wasn't possible. Ski asked me why not? One thing lead to another and an hour later we exclaimed "Eureka!".
As I had already made the basis for a CC template common functionalty library the progression was a relatively smooth process. Over the last 2 days I've been working to combine my existing CCs - Hunter, Warrior, Druid (Mage, Rogue**) into a single CC - The One CC!
This first version (0.1) will only include Hunter, Warrior & Druid support. As these 3 CCs are based off my most recent CC template the integration process was relatively easy. The Mage will be integrated over the next few days, but the Rogue CC will need a complete rewrite - after all, it was my very first HB CC. Over the course of the coming months I'll be integrating additional class support.
The core of this project means support and troubleshooting will become less of a hassle and the integration of new classes will be greatly streamlined.
If you are already using my existing individual CCs there is almost no change between them and The One CC. There are some minor bug fixes and changes, but major additions.
For those alarmists in the audience, this project does not impact the CC performance. I've done considerable testing over the last 2 days, there is a general increase of ~50ms when combined into The One CC.
Credit goes to Ski and my wife for almost simultaneously coming up with the name of this CC.
EDIT: Work is continuing on the common funtion library. This probject will be released once its I'm happy with it.
