In the new ToS we all accepted, that came out a few days earlier, gave blizz permission to scan our computers.

so we're all fucked basically

Bliz has been scanning its proprietary software for awhile. It's their right. It isn't just in the new ToS, it's been that way. They maintain the right to scan the mem processes used within WoW...

Please share with the rest of us exactly where it states we have given permission for Blizz to scan our pc's in the TOS....

OKAY LOL.

From the ToS:

15.Acknowledgments.
You hereby acknowledge and agree that:

A. WHEN RUNNING, THE GAME MAY MONITOR YOUR COMPUTER'S RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) AND/OR CPU PROCESSES FOR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH WORLD OF WARCRAFT. AN “UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM” AS USED HEREIN SHALL BE DEFINED AS ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE THAT, WHEN USED SIMULTANEOUSLY OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE GAME, WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF SECTIONS 1, 2 OR 7. IN THE EVENT THAT THE GAME DETECTS AN UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM, BLIZZARD MAY (a) COMMUNICATE INFORMATION BACK TO BLIZZARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE ACCOUNT NAME, DETAILS ABOUT THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM DETECTED, AND THE TIME AND DATE THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM WAS DETECTED; AND/OR (b) EXERCISE ANY OR ALL OF ITS RIGHTS UNDER ANY BLIZZARD AGREEMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO THE USER.

B. WHEN THE GAME IS RUNNING, BLIZZARD MAY OBTAIN CERTAIN IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR COMPUTER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION YOUR HARD DRIVES, CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT, IP ADDRESS(ES) AND OPERATING SYSTEM(S), FOR PURPOSES OF IMPROVING THE GAME AND/OR THE SERVICE, AND TO POLICE AND ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF ANY BLIZZARD AGREEMENT.

It isn't a privacy issue since we all agreed to it. The only issue is we weren't careful and got caught. Monday I'm getting a game key and starting my toons over. At least Bliz is letting me keep the shit I earned honestly lol.

leveling by hand... actually makes me throw up alittle in my mouth.. lol

When were these new terms put out? I honestly cannot remember accepting any new terms of service recently.

that's always been there. those exact words. and yet Blizz does not scan outside the WoW process.

They tried scanning my folders the other day but I bypassed scanner quite easily, I know this was an attempt to find honor buddy on my system, then sure enough everyone is now banned... I am still waiting to be banned however but I seen those warning signs and killed everything there and then. They can scan things prior but this was really out of the ordinary. They mini patched, I went from 32 bit to 64 bit, when you start seeing random shit like that you know something is up lol Authenicator was bugged... All attempts to monitor me no doubt.

And leveling by hand? Ouch you sir are madd. But your doing exactly what they're hoping, spending more money. Ffxiv here I come (until pantheon)

Explain to me what shred of difference that would make? You don't agree you don't play...

Exactly. And it's not as simple as saying, "then don't play anymore" when terms change in the middle of pre-paid subscriptions.

If we didn't agree, would they give the money back? The answer is a sure hell no!
