"The monk cannon" - a budget fast and effective monk build for Act 3 champion farming

i actually only run with 3k armour and 550ish AR... but the difference is that i run in act 1 MP1 (too lazy to even proceed to act3 on inferno), probably that's easier? I have no problems with those affixes.. its more of the reflect dmg that kills my monk due to low armour.. but on a whole i probably die once every hour or so, but it feels so much faster farming with this setup... some of my gears were with AR so it made it easier to go with this build. Just an alternative for people working with bigger budget.
 
This build is great, too bad it is popular now, don't be surprised to spend 100mill+ to get the same stats as when originally posted, amy and rings are 20mill each these days.

yah man. i'm relying on my own drops to upgrade my monk now... not cheap to buy off things on the AH these days.... now the only problem is that i'm running out of stash space cos there's way too many junk legs that can't sell... probably will salvage them instead... quick question... does rare plans and brimstones still sellable in AH? never bothered to list them in the first place, wondering if they move faster than some crap legendaries.

Ok so i did make another monk (3 ) with this build. Each one has "other" items and each is 65-75k dmg without buffs 450+ all ress .
Mby you did not realize but the passive we use in this build makes a coppy of the highest resistance making all ress this value.
So if you buy items and its possible try to take same add resistance ( poison , fire, etc ) .
Helps alot making my cheapest monk ( spend 18m on EU ) the strongest .
All of my monks got only 1 important item i spend 3-5m on .
Skorn. Its a must to have 4500 life after kill , 140 + crit ( i have 179-198 ), 295+ dex and 1200+ dps.
Always buy in this way :

Other EQ
Rings - cost alot , i always spend rest of the money here avaible , around 3m each.

To get the cheapest pickup try it on the lacuni. Always getting ones for 500k with vit or dex + pickup for globes and gold ( ITS A MUST HAVE ! ) .

I run ACT3 mp0 . I dont upgrade them anymore beacuse why should i ?
It dies 2-3 times a hour so its good for me . Its a profit build not a pwnage build :)
If you need a 0 dying one , spend 100m , get 800all ress etc .

totally agree with you. The reason for my post is more for other botters who use play monk as a main character... cos for me i only run 1 bot and i like to pimp up my monk while botting to sell loot in RMAH. So for those who don't mind splashing a bigger budget they can try out other skills to increase their iph or reduce dph. but of course the original build works wonderfully. :)

Thankfully, my not-so-secret budget build which yields 400 Items Dropped Per Hour is still getting cheaper and cheaper by the day.

made my one 2 days ago was 25mil got me 85k dps buffed, 39k hp, 870 AR, 4200 armor
and thats with a ruby in the helm, not a pure dps helm

I'm really new to this, i have never botted before.
I have a 60(7) Monk but it doesn't really have good gear and I also don't have that much gold (8mil, also most i ever had).
I know I could get more but I don't have the time to play very often as a student, but that makes it also that most of my friends have better gear and thus we don't play together that often.
And thats why I'm here :)

So what I would like to know, is it easy to get caught with this? Don't really want to loose my account and have to buy a new one but I do want to try this out.

(Sorry also if this is the wrong topic for these questions.)
 
Bot and build are 2 different things.
Build wont get you caught...

its how you bot and whether or not the bot is detectable.
 
I know they are 2 different things, what build someone uses doesn't really matters... This isnt the part that is against the eula :P

No it is the botting I'm concerned about, as I said I'm new to this. I have been reading the forums here a bit and have come across some VM guides but I'm not into all those things. It would just be some botting to get better gear/more gold and then play manually with that gear. It isn't for profit or anything, its more to make up for the lack of time I can invest in the game.

So I came across this new members guide , if I were to run it like this then is it easy to get caught?
 
how can i make the monk cast serenity early?
Can i adpt tempest rush somehow? (i am geared now >.<)

I have 60 mil to work with.. should I do a more geared version of this or just go barb or wizard? Also does anyone know how WD is now?
 
3 champion farming

Im still using this build and very happy with it. My main monk hit paragon 47. First monk spent maybe 70mill doing buyout, fast shopping.

Started 2nd acct, first went ww barb to test. Spent about same, dps reached same. But took longer to kill packs, and died about 2 timer per hr, while monk is at 0 death per hr.

So made monk on 2nd acct. Bought gear as lvled since knew what looking for. Over few days shopping spent maybe 20mill. And dps matchs monk on other acct, at 60 no paragon. Gold and xp per hr sucks in comparison but I think thats due to paragon.

Can do act 3 MP0 with ease. Tried MP5 or higher and alot of deaths. Even by hand trying to get keys.
For cheap, efficient act 3 MP0 farmer. This is best used yet.
 
So I have been botting for ages.. and I wanted to gear a new toon up for botting. I currently have 60mil to use. I have been pondering who to do since yesterday. I have been using a WW barb since the day it was viable.. and I used to use the DH for sarkoth botting when that was good. Anyways I wanted to try something different besides barb. I saw a nice guide for a cheap monk "cannon" also saw claims of a viable DH and Wiz that can do act 3 runs 0-1 deaths.. so I am looking for insight from people who use WD, Wiz, DH, Monks for botting act 3 instead of barb.

Wiz is too slow for SPEED runs (low mp).
Each skill has a casting delay or the skill is channeling - meaning you can't move while attacking.

Monk on low mp (this build) teleports from 1 monster to the other (so you move forward while fighting) and has nice AoE damage.

WD i have no idea and a DH is usually very expensive otherwise you won't benefit from the speed (non-stop Vault - Tumble + Tactical Advantage).
 
I feel like WD has a TON of potential now but no one is trying it :/

great guide for monk, thanks.

ive been testing it out and my only recommendation would be to add some LoH. while running sweeping wind you are constantly hitting enemies so you are constantly gaining life even if you havent killed the mob yet.

i have also been farming on mp1
