The End of Botting, or Just Another Phase?

Blizzard have never been able to properly detect us via Warden. (They got *lucky* once due to another hack that used the same bit of memory. But again, they got lucky) So don't expect any client-based detection to cause any problems. However, we can't do anything about server-side detection. If you're botting Sarkoth 24/7, you can expect a ban. But that's your own fault. If you bot stupid, expect a ban. We really can't do anything to prevent that. Bot smart, and you're likely to never see a ban in your career.

Blizzard do have some things "watching" people on their servers. That's an obvious fact. What they are, nobody can tell, as we don't have access to their servers to find out. The best we can say, is bot smart, and you'll be fine. I realize it cuts into profits sometimes, but you have to weigh the risk of botting 24/7 and losing an account, or botting ~10-12hrs and keeping that account. Its all up to you guys. We will never put in a forced timer to ensure you can't bot 24/7 if you really want to. We just suggest that you not.

Again, if you're botting 24/7, you can almost 100% guarantee that your account will be banned. There's nothing we can do to prevent it. Bot smart, and save your account if you really care about it!
 
Yesterday no Knowing Bans , so i hope this is over for 1 or 2 weeks

i hear you. what botting strategy would you suggest with the currently available profiles ?
you said "dont bot 24/7, bot 10 or 12 hours a day". bot them straight ? take a 5 min break any hour ? bot 3 hours and take a 1 hour break ?
currently im going 1-3 hours, take 10-30 mins break then go another round. i switch 2 profiles for 2 locations.
but i dont really know if thats the best way.

suggest a few profiles plz for botting as playing plz ^^

if you are talking playtime, well i only play 2-3 hours per day. can not really take that as template for my bot if i want to make at least some gold.

Bot the playtime that a "normal geek" would play then.
Somewhere around 7-12h a day.
 
I've already been going 24/7 for far too long to stop now. If I'm getting banned, I'll most likely be banned even if I absolutely stop now.

Thanks to DB, I've made enough $ to buy 10 D3 accounts.

So, when and if I get banned, I'll buy another account and play safer from there on. And hopefully by that time, I'll be able to get my double session bonus!! :D

Yea, im in somewhat similar situation, althought i only started botting when DB was released. But made enough to cover my 3 D3 accounts and then some. Even spend a decent amount on my main.

So when i get banned, i will start botting safer. Till then, 24/7!

because people dont read? there is no map hack in db its not a hack and detection of environment in those means would be hacking. Thus they have been developing code for a work around to the random dungeon generation of D3, I believe it was Apoc, but he is on vacation.


If you want to speculate bans could u post in the ban section or one of the other 100000000x that are the exact duplicate of information as this. tired of seeing people who joined in JUNE flood these forums with useless posts that are like 4-5 of them on the front page.

As for blizz dev code... for decection I am sure this is obserd no one in there right mind ever ever seen that coming (pindle, skinning in wow) so please elaborate to the intrusiveness of such a vast new idea you have entered into the market?

once again, I was referring to "couple of lines in the profile that allows for 15-minute breaks". I realize how hard botting randomized dungeons is. But it can't be hard to add some function that allows for randomized intervals of breaks.
