First this design and all credit for it goes to tesslerc. This cheaper version is based on his post (http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...ective-monk-build-act-3-champion-farming.html), read it and understand it since this post is meant to be more of a cheap way to build his monk concept.

The basic concept of his build was to kill fast without dying. The goal being more deaths per hour = more gold and gear.

To build his Monk it was going to cost around 30 mill for me since I didn't have any of the gear. So I spent a few days messing around with the build.

My results were I was able to match his performance for ~6.2 mill per monk (plus some gear I had from drops) most of the gear I got was under 50k buyouts.

My build focus was on increased attack speed. I bought amulets and rings with max increased attack speed with life on hit. I have my attacks up to 2.0 - 2.2 per sec. Because of the fast attack speed his kill rate is high, even though the other specs are so-so. I now have all 4 of my monks using the cheap version of the monk and they are doing great.

The specs you should focus on and try to get your monk to for the cheap build (notice how they mostly follow tesslerc's concept)

Same skills as tesslercs
Get attack speed to 2.0 min
Life on hit 1800+
Life on kill 3000+
Resists - 500+ (you can use any combination of element and resist all to get this, mine are mostly lighting)
move speed 24%
dps 68k+ (this is the lowest dps of my 4 monks and he does just fine)
critical hit chance 16%+
3500+ armor

Gear:
each monk has skorn and lacunini's, everything else is a rare

With this build I can still 1 hit most trash mobs.

What I'm getting per monk (only running for 1 week, all monks 52 - 61 par level) using champion hunting profile, act 3, MP0:
death count is around ~2 per day
~ 415k per hour gold
~ 13 mill experience per hour
~ 16 mill in gear sales per day

hope this helps some others

Good stuff. How many hours a day do you run?

I think the Life After Kill isn't needed. Back when i was playing for real on my barb, i stacked this and it would be great especially if you have a big health pool but to be honest, when you kill monsters, they drop health globes anyway. your setup is more around survivability while having enough DPS to get through MP0 so it's very good. But LOH might be pretty expensive. For MP0-mp3 I like going super high DPS, slightly higher resists and less LOH. I guess depends on which is cheaper, LOH or resists haha.

Very interesting, I might give that IAS and LOH a try aswell.
Could you up a sshot with an example of the gear you're using?

Would be nice to see!

Cheers!

do you use gelis trinity?
if yes, does your monk never die, because he TP with 5 mobs?
if no, what do you use for combatroutines?

I run 4 bots 24 hours a day with this build, but have only been running this for about 5 weeks now.

Watching the monks play a bit I would agree Life on Kill isn't that important, I think I would try to get a piece of gear with 10k+ to health globes, I think that would be better, I may try that build, but if someone does let us know how it goes. The build is based on life on hit and attack speed, so since he hits often he keeps his life high.

I don't want to post a screen shot, since I would guess that blizz has people checking these forums, and wants to shut down as many people talking about botting as possible. Besides my builds are all pretty different gear. Just make sure the gear adds up like above. It doesn't matter if you get your resists are from pants or an amulet or any other item just as long as your resists add up. Same for all the other specs.

I do use gilesTrinity with the mod outlined in the monk cannon post. Haven't updated my DB or the GT since I got them working (the 5 weeks ago), If it ain't broke don't fix it.

My monks do die, but not often maybe once every day or 2. I'm not sure what kills them, don't really care either since the level is within acceptable limits.

I assume these bots will be banned soon so my goal is to make them cheap and have them rake in the cash as fast as possible. Each bot earns about $20 a day in gear and gold sales used to be more but $500 a week is nice pocket change for a couple of old computers, and about an hour a day work!

what build are u using or is it in that thread above? do u run the same ip on each? do u not think it's better to farm mp1 or mp4+? And how much would u need to spend to get there.

How are you managing to get 1800+ loh, 3k lok, and 2.0 attack speed using a Skorn?

My builds are in the first thread. I have 4 old PC's that are each running 1 instance of the game. All 4 pc's are plugged into the same router. So they have the same IP on blizzards end. Between me and my roomates we have an addition 3 machines that we each play on and don't bot on. So blizzard probably sees 7 games running off 1 IP. I farm MP0 act 3 only. these bot's were only around 6 mill each to build. + some gear found.

I get 3k+ lok from skorn by itself. To get life on hit + attack speed you just look for gear that has only those items. (I actually noticed one of my monks only has 1.2k LOH and he does fine). You will not get 1 piece of gear with 500+ loh, 7%+ attack speed, 150+ dex, 150+ vit, 70+ res all on 1 piece of gear cheaply. So you have to give up some things, get an ammy with high attack speed, loh, low dex, and vit. get armor with with high vit, high res, low dex and, sockets, (I just checked the AH and those items are easily bought for under 500k each).

low critical hit chance items that are otherwise great are usually cheap as well and for this build it works great.

Remember this is not a mp10 crushing build. The build probably wouldn't last in MP3. This is a cheap botting build. Don't focus on what you would use to play with just the bare min to kill low level guys quick and survie while doing so.

Hey Term, thanks for your guide man, very useful! I have got some questions do you mind do answer? I hope not :)

You said you sell around 20 bucks/day with gear stuff, so:
- Do you use a custom loot rule?
- Do you use a regular loot rule (what values you set up in giles?)
- What kind items do you sell? Rares? Leg?
- What item status whould I look for to sell?

I have a monk and I spend about 20-30m and I still can make only 300k-350k gold hour.

Maybe I am using a bad profile to run act 3 :( Any advice?

For last, what build do you use? Same as the monk cannon topic?

Thanks alot bro!!!

How are you managing to get 1800+ loh, 3k lok, and 2.0 attack speed using a Skorn?

would like to know the same, bought andariels and lacunis + rings, amu, gloves with 8-9% attackspeed each but am only at 1.56 aps

also only 1k loh

I would recommend trying a ias skorn. I ignored lok all together and only have about 600 loh but 10k+ to health globes. I spent about 15-20mil to gear my monk up but he averages 28-33 exp/hr and maybe 1 death every 4 hours

I still don't think it's possible to get 2.0 attack speed with a Skorn, please check the numbers

still this thread is meant to be a budget budget version, and 25m is even more than the suggested amount in the other thread

i spent about 2.5m to gear up a monk andits running quite smooth but the gph is a bit low since he startet at P0

Ok I tried this, but the original monk cannon build is way better.
