The 101 Botting question NOT TO DO

Hello,

Okay before I get flamed. I have never ran any bot in my life and I do not know much about it.

I have read a lot on a few post about it and I am trying to find the safest way. Before you post there is no safe way ... Well Shut up I said safest.

The reason why I want to bot is because I don't have much time to play and I am sick and tired to trying to run for the #@!$#!$#$#@ Ring of Royal Grandeur.

I think there is no script yet for running cach in Act 1. But having other Legendary would help me be happy.

From what I have read so far.

Do not bot more than what a human can do.​

Do not run multiple accounts on the same IP address.​

Rename the .exe of your bot application.​

Do not use speed hack (I don't even know if this bot has it)​

I plan to ran my bot only a few hours per day and I plan to be at home as well when it runs.

I am trying to avoid ban as much as possible since I have both Collector edition for Diablo, I really don't want to loose them.

If you have any other tips for it would be much appreciated.

People claim about specific "script" that you ran that can help you getting banned. I read about YAR something I have no freaking idea what this is.

Before I posted this I have actually search for similar post about this and found none. I know that people claimed that it's "random". Well after 2 years that has to be enough info to find the safest way to run a bot.

I don't want to bot for performance. if my bot can get me 1 legendary in 2 hours or 500k gold I will be happy.

i think this is stupid (not offending u personally) and naive.

we know till now that it doesnt matter if u bot 5h or 24h.

me and other members here bot 24/7 for months without breaks and have not been banned yet. (been botting like this even before RoS, from beginning of d3, u get the picture). so humanly impossible stuff doesnt seem to trigger anything from blizzard's side.

so far we dont know how people rly get banned and why. some people even talk about public games having higher chance, i am not sure about that i am just talking to bot for urself either in bot party or completely alone.

then there are theories about having low games per hour being more safe. dont know about that and old school high games per hour is not possible anymore anyway due to 420 error for flood protection. and no hitting this wont trigger anything aswell.

just bot and dont worry. not sure what will change if u are at home or not LOL botting is botting.

all this stuff is random i guess with some weird and rly strange parameters at the time by blizz. as i said, nobody knows because nobody knows how blizzard works. so we all got our own theories ^^

never forget that nobody here really KNOWS how to bot safe. its all theories and the people botting even in the UNSAFEST way are yet to be banned. so nobody knows, not even the "gurus"

if u were really trying to avoid ban AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE u would not bot. that being said. welcome to the bot side ^^

running multiple IP's from same address also doesnt do much, i mean i got 4 mains on my name etc and multibox if i want. why would i get banned for this? ^^

You are probably right about all of this. I will give it a shot and see what happens. Worst case scenario I will appeal my case.

I do not know how far privacy goes on these things.

Also I am not really scared about banning especially after this post (o_0)
