The bot has an installer and i've never had to make a new folder unless it was a switch from beta to release and that's just cuz it makes things easier rather then updating every plugin that isn't updated yet.

I always download the latest beta manually and set up everything. It worked for me all the time.
I've tried to update it automatically, but there is always some "error" and updating process fails to complete for some reason, so manual updating is the only solution. I haven't even tried the auto update in a while, maybe they have improved it.

I think I had a similiar problem to that a while ago as well, and did the same thing by doing it manually and I can agree that is super frustrating.
But I say give it a shot because all I do is restart it to update it nice and easy!

Make sure you are running it as an admin or it might not update right, as my computer always asks for a security reason and maybe your computer auto denies it? E: Not computer, but windows type. I use win10

I actually just tried it. The bot indeed updated smoothly (I wasn't expecting it).
But then I encountered the same issue with AIF plugin. It disappeared from the plugin list. I activated "OldGrindBot" in the gui, restarted, nope, still isn't there, needs MANUAL unzipping into 3rdParty folder anyway. If i do the unzipping then it AIF is back in the plugin list, but it won't load my custom rules file.
Getting error that "path isn't correct" (it was perfectly ok all the time). So it isn't different from manual update. Still messes up plugin settings.

Is your AIF working with the new beta?

It does indeed, in comparison. I get more orbs with buddy all the time. When it's running properly that is.
And I still have my lifetime subscriptions...

Working 100% fine as it just did a regal recipe.
Not sure how you are trying to load your custom rules, but you probably need to re specify them since it's a new install it won't just find where the old bot used it last since it's a new folder.

Reset the rules (should only have to open the file from the AIF plugin screen)
Settings > plugins > AIF > Custom Rules > Rule Tab at the bottom, then load them from the file that they are saved to.

Seems something got messed up while switching between the folders, but I honestly cannot pinpoint it.
A fresh install should do the trick of the plugin instead of using the old ones that have been having problems, and just setting it up again quick (mainly just have to set tabs, the custom rules is a text file you can move)

Most of the stuff is just knowing the bot IMO.
Let me know if your still having problems

Looks like it finally does work now, i had to ditch my old custom rules file altogether and replace it with another one + freash manual install of the bot+unzipping AIF+CommLib to 3rdParty folder. I have no idea, why my old custom rules file doesn't work after today's update anymore.
Anyway, I appreciate your help!

Glad you got it taken care of.
Hope it is in the installer folder now, and you shouldn't really have to do much changing unless a specific plugin gets updated.
 
You are def doing something wrong, with those stats on a coc discharge you should be getting 8 ex a day. Something wrong with your filter, because with the stats you have you would have to try and make it run slow.

I've released it just yesterday :) And yes, it was planned to make it preconfigured :)
 
im level 92 in hardcore prophecy league running EQ jugg build doing t10s getting about 5-6 ex a day at least. you are definatly doing something wrong

"I'm making X ex per day, You must be doing something wrong"
seriously guys u make me sad posting stuff like that. What about giving him the hint to join discord, I bet there's a good soul that will take a little time to make him happy. Be helpful, be better.

It's funny tho reading these arrogant posts of ppl being prowd that they made the bot work. Really funny....
 
@dynastyo, It's not arrogance, it's the people who have the right to be proud because they took their time to do research and got to where they are. The whiners are usually the ones who think they can pick up poe, start botting, and making big bank.
 
Ha ^, that's what he's talking about. Your arrogant. For some people seem to learn much better from hints/tips from more published botters, that have been around while.

Like myself I learnt some of the game but was confused at the best, Asked tNyx for help you know what he helped me and now I know exactly what I'm doing.

I wasnt being arrogant he said in his post that "maybe hes doing something wrong" I simply stated what was I was doing and that he was most definatly doing something wrong. little bit less salt next time please.
