Your post doesn't make a lot of sense. Last time I checked, HC and normal gold are one in the same, as well as the auction house being the same between HC and normal modes...

Also, who's going to spend millions of gold buying gear for a HC toon when you'll lose it all the second you die?

I just started a HC toon and had 0 gold on him. So HC gold is different from SC. (why do I always think of porn when comparing SC and HC). Gold wise though I am betting some people will spend money to get back to where they were or to get to their pre-determined breaking point before going on to the next act or section. There will be lots and lots of farming in HC, not all of it will get you the gear you want. And having millions of gold isn't going to help you build a new mount so might as well spend it on gear for the HC mode where that gold can only be spent.

edit: I am also betting there will be people who will be more willing to do act 1 inferno in act 4 gear then in hell gear.

Imo don't expect too much. This "release date" people are talking about isn't written in stone and there is a patch coming up tomorrow in EU and I think it's implemented in US already (not sure).

Just keep watching the forums and let them do their job. Better to get a finished bot which works good instead of using a buggy version. :)

The AH's are different. Hardcore toons can't use regular AH or RMAH. They are restricted to their own gold AH.

You'd be surprised at how many people will buy items and gold playing hardcore. It's a lot less risky if you have great gear or a few million gold to buy gear without risking your toon leveling. I can't give an exact link where I saw this but I believe hardcore gold is being sold/bought for 3 or 4X the cost of regular gold because it's more risky to grind.
 
I stand corrected. It still seems silly to spend millions of gold on HC gear when you could lose it instantly, along with all the gold you made. I know personally I wouldn't spend real money on gold when I could lose it because I ran into a particularly nasty champion pack.

To each their own though.

Not exactly. There's not a WHOLE lot of risk farming something like Core of Arreat Nightmare (or Crypts, but it's a bit trickier getting there). The problem is getting the appropriate gear to do so effectively.
The HC AH SUCKS ASS. There's literally nothing. So the GPH sucks because your GF sucks.

My L50 barbarian can rape CoA nightmare, but my gear is so terrible it only makes ~150k gph.

Don't ask me for a source, but I believe I read somewhere on the HC forums that you get to keep the gold and whatever's in the stash. You just lose the dead toon's gear.
But again, I read that. I don't know if it's true.

This would make sense, considering HxC toons share a stash. I believe you only lose the equipment and inventory of the dead toon.
