Hello all

I've been running 3 Musketeer Ghom profile flawlessly and just found a Hexing Pants.

My question is how would I edit the profile/trinity settings so after my WD drops all cooldowns it just runs around to keep the pets buffed w/ Hex pants?

Im not able to play around with it yet because I am at work, but Im guessing I'd need to play around with the Ghom Gas Avoidance / Kite range settings, if I have the right idea great, if not can someone teach me their ways?

Thanks all

Pointless botting with hexing pants as you need to stutter step to get the maximum out of it if u are poison build use swampland waders for the additional poison dmg or anything else you got in your invent.

I'm not sure about the coding, but you could try the settings within Trinity > Combat > Check on Avoid AOE settings

Naturally, the gas from Ghom will make you run around everywhere as it pretty much fills the room.

Though I must say, that it isn't really needed or recommended. T6 Ghom in 12-15 seconds is absolutely fine with just a Tall Man's Finger and at least 1.2 mil dps.

did u even read what he wrote?

yes, so I guess you failed to understand my reply, so I will elaborate.

The ONLY way to use hexing pants is with a constant stutter step, if you stand still for more than 0.25 seconds you lose the dmg buff, so try and imagine making the routine capable of stutter-stepping, it isn't impossible but would be an enormous Pain in the Ass, therefore it makes more sense to just use whatever pants you have at hand (preferably with FA or garg dmg or if you are poison based BiS are swampland waders), the main reason being that even if you managed to put together the routine you might at best shave a second off the kill time.

Not worth all the effort really is it.

Listen to joka666. No, people don't have trinity tweaks for move around with hex pants, cuz its gonna be bad.

:) I never said I supported the idea. nevertheless I did not fail to understand your vague reply. He was simply asking for the bot to run around. Didnt seem like he even wanted to do basic hits from his wd, so maybe it was u?

Anyway, agree with the fact that it would be pretty useless

Actually... since the pet doctor doesn't need to perform any attacks after his pets are summoned... it wouldn't be that hard to make in principle... I understand the reasoning behind it as 25% extra damage is nice... the bot would simply have to run up, cast the pets such as fetishes, garg... and then perhaps pirananado + that other thing that adds 20+% damage and the big bad voodoo... then run around ghom for a sec and boom done.

You could easily create a profile that randomly runs around the room in a circle or even back and forth in front of Ghom until he's dead. I say 'easily' because I've never created a profile and have no idea what goes into it but I imagine once you learn the basics, this one would be super simple to create.

I have to agree with what most people are saying here though, applying the Hexing Pants buff is probably not worth the effort. In fact the dps you're going to lose from not unleashing a primary/secondary skill on Ghom during the burn will probably be a bigger loss then the gain from the bonus on the pants anyway.

As for stutter stepping while using Hexing, I've tried it with my MM/conflag wizard and it doesn't really work well. 0.25 seconds is a lot less time than you think, haha. These pants really only work with very specific builds such a Chainpocalypse wiz (which has been nerfed so I don't even think people run it anymore really).

Am I wrong, or don't you need to stay in the BBV circle for your pets to continue to gain from the DPS buffs?

If it's not snapshot on cast, then you will need to stay in the circle and keep moving.

There currently isn't anyway to force the bot to legitimately do this on a regular basis that I know of. Perhaps one of the fine developers around here might develop something.

Sometimes when I am babysitting my bot I will put them on and direct the bot around with my mouse, and the bot will constantly atack for me, essentially stutter stepping and firing away.

Again, maybe there is a dev that can create a stutter step plugin or trinity add-on.
