I've done some testing in regards to the new update and it seems like until (if this ever happens) the buddy team gets underwater navigation to work with HB3 this profile will not work. Until that time i've frozen this product on the store.

What does this profile do? It gets the Reins of Poseidus.

This is a pretty simple profile, it will swim around Vashj'ir and look for Poseidus. Once it finds it, it will kill it, then loot the mount then hearth and close WoW.

Bot to Use: Questing
Location: Vashj'ir- Launch from Stormwind if you're Alliance and from Orgrimmar if you're Horde. Or in Vashj'ir itself.
Purpose: To Farm Poseidus for the Reins of Poseidus - This profile will farm for the mount and then it will hearth and close WoW when it gets it.
Repair: No
Mailbox: No
Quests: No
AFK: 100%


Requirements:

• Be level 78, and be able to get to and swim/breathe underwater in Vashj'ir
• I highly recommend getting either of these to help with looting! Findle's Loot-A-Rang or Regular Loot-A-Rang!
  
  

Notes:

• Will automatically make its way to Vashj'ir*
• No addons or plugins necessary
• A need roll function has been implemented if you are using cross realm features
• Anti-Afk Measures implemented for all profiles

Profile Differences: (*All "Spawn" Profiles will camp at that spawn point only, and you will have to navigate their yourself, navigation is only provided for the patrol profile)

• Patrol - This will path around to the different spawn hotspots in order to check for Poseidus
• Patrol Lite - This profile removes all the auto navigation and only includes the farming route, if it finds and kills and loots Poseidus it will not hearth but will close WoW.[/*]
• Biel'Aran Ridge*
• Glimmerdeep Gorge*
• Ruins of Thelserai Temple*
• Ruins of Vashj'ir*
• Underlight Canyon*
• 1.2 - This profile is the latest forum release profile, since it's relatively stable it is included as a fall back

Known bugs: There are occasional navigation hiccups due to this zone being hard on Honorbuddy's navigation system.

Haven't had much luck, but did find some useful info on the subject of farming for this thing.

Poseidus's spawn time seems to range from 72-120 hours and is subject to server restarts, meaning his spawn resets after a maintenance or the weekly restart on wednesday at 5:00 am (EU).


The weekly maintenance usually ends at 5:00 am server time (EU), meaning he won't spawn till at least Saturday at 5:00 am (EU) server time and at the latest 5:00 am (EU) Monday.


It might be very useful for other people to add to the original post that there's a spawn window in which you can farm for this mount . Farming outside this spawn window is a waste of time!

Yes I noticed (even after my modifications) that sometims he gets stuck (for no reason, inthe middle of "nothing") - comming from abyssal depths back to shimmering expanse. He dismounts and stays there. Last week it happened
You know that 2 weeks ago I got the mount ...

Well ... today (this morning) after runnning non-stop since friday afternoon - GOT IT AGAIN !

Works like a charm. One just needs to keep an eye on it via team viewer or something from time to time ....

The reason it stops randomly seemingly on nothing is because it usually hits a subzone that isn't considered in the same phase so it is reading a different coordinate system and doesn't know how to react and just stops.

So if you tell me where it's hanging up we need to go around that spot. This usually happens around Nespirah and a coupl of other places.

And as always if you need help, I need logs! Directions on how to attach logs are in the post at the bottom of the main post.

So from what I can tell it looks like it actually found Poseidus, and then tried to move to it to kill it, but it may have gotten stuck in one of the bad phasing areas. This is unfortunately pretty common in this zone, underwater navigation is not natural to HB so it can get hung up a lot due to how it is meshed/ how the mechanics work. I also noticed that the bot is interrupting itself to cast the mount so I'll take a loot at that and try and turn that off also.

There are a few different profiles to choose from, there are two that patrol the different hotspots, one of these auto navigates from anywhere, the other needs some help, but once it's on track it will be good to go. The others will camp the spawn locations, however you will have to help the bot get there as there isn't any auto navigation to it.

WoWhead only shows recorded information based on player uploads, he's been noted to spawn at the other locations as well.

It will stop when it finds it, but you can take it out of your bags and run it again to get another one. The patrol route is the same each time, no variations.

Im more thinking in a way of security. How long would you dare to let your bot run without breaks? If it travels in the same paterns everytime Im afraid it would be quite easy for blizzard to pick it up?

Potentially, but I wouldn't be super concerned about it, and I wouldn't really run it more than 8 hours at a time.

Wanted to say thanks for this profile, and your Time Lost Proto Drake ones. I've managed to get both in the last week! I did have a problem with this one this morning, however. It killed Poseidus but didn't loot for some reason (auto-loot was on). I just got lucky in that I happened to check shortly after the kill so I was able to manually loot it. Here's my log:
