Swapping CC's without restarting?

First I hope this goes here as I dont think its me needing something fixed but asking a CC related question. Is it possible to switch a CC without restarting the bot? I mainly Offtank as blood and then switch to frost when only 1 tank is needed. Everytime I have to say "gimme a sec" respec then wait for the bot to close, relaunch it then go through its initiation process. Its not a big deal, but being able to just switch would be awesome.

You did well in placing the topic.

There used to be a Combat Routine 'wrapper' that would allow swapping of CRs without restarting. Alas, that Community offering went stale, and is no longer available. (You may find it in the archives section, but for the life of me I can remember neither the 'name' nor the author of the offering.)

It is still possible to do this today. Singular (and I'm sure other Combat Routines) will detect when they have been moved into our out of an instance or battlegrounds, and 'reset' themselves with different characteristics. So, the machinery is still there for a 'wrapping' technique.

Today, there is no such ability to switch between CRs. Your only recourse is to restart Honorbuddy to switch Combat Routines.

Is there any reason why there's not an "Reselect CR" option on Honorbuddy? Should be easy to pull an recompile when pushing that button then allow the user to reselect the CR if selected wrong, so he doesn't need to restart HB for wrong selection / new character ?

I can't answer this, and will need Apoc or another to respond. My guess is it wasn't an original feature requirement, and changing it is not very high on the priority list since most users don't change their CRs within a single session.

Changing CR is generally the only reason why I re-open HB. That and switching character. I.e. changing from questing with Singular to LFR/instance with PureRotation, then back again once LFR/instance is over.
